I understand but it is well documented that support is a little slow when it comes to email replys.

Only reason I said he was crying was because of his smilies. Just makin a funny.

How much is the phone call? It may be worth it......

A Little ? .... we are still waiting 3 weeks for an reply
But he ... just heard Randy likes beer and guess where Heineken is brewed .... will inform them to stop shipping to the US

And yupp an phonecall ... even spend more $$ on getting info about defective units (Yes to ship them to tekin we have to pay about 100$ so throwing them away and but new ones could allmost be cheaper)

Btw ... did you know that when an support department is playing tennis or making fun ist just good ...... Seems the product works right. In this case we may assume they are answerring an load of emails

Maybe have someone shoot your email over to Tekin? Reason I say that is that I have contacted them via email twice now, and Ty who works there has gotten back to me lightning fast. Maybe your email got caught up in a spam filter or something.

As an FYI, not sure if Randy already stated this or its common knowledge, but it is news to me, Tekin is working on a more robust fan. Should be soon. But in the mean time they have sending me out a few fans to get me by. EXCELLENT customer service. Very impressed.

Well ....

Randy is aware of our email to Ty we have send it 3 times and 3 times it arrived and we have good communication with Randy and he is promising to look what he could do for us. But in the meantime ....: The units seems to be shipped back (no confirmation or even to wich adres shipped, no information about whats done to it and he loads of other questions.)

We allready stated we dont want to throw in public mud to Tekin as we want to solve things with them directly but when there is nada, zip, zero answer it seems it has to go public then ?

Guys, e-mail Randy directly (his address is in this thread somewhere). I've found he always get my e-mails but when I e-mail ty at the address on the web sight it seems it often does not get thru. They always seem to have some server issue or filter issue or something.

which wire is better for a 4S setup ? 10AWG or 12AWG ? Is there any included with the RX8?

I think I will use direct solder for the motor and EC5 Losi Connectors for the battery

12 gauge wire is included and I would use it.

The voltage drop is calculated in the two wires sizes as thus:
12 AWG-0.045
10 AWG-0.027
at 77 degrees F

You will have to enter the length of your wires (in decimal format) and the max amps you expect to pull

I used this website to calculate the numbers for me:

I live in Holland, so for me it is not that easy to call....

As Pinky wrote, we've already send some mails directly. The first answers came fast and i was happy to had my new Rotors within 2 weeks in Holland.

I know that they are busy.....and that's wy some mails do take some time to get answered. But now I'm getting nervous because my next race will be this weekend.

I hope to post some more instead of

thanks.

For our amp draw the voltage drop between 14 and 10 is very little. I do not think you will miss .25 volts as over powered as these cars are.

Now consider that the foil tabs that connect the lipo cells internally are pretty thin. Weakest link thinking says 10awg is bigger than need be and hard to solder. Easy to get poor solder connections to the post with that much mass and have them break off causing a lot more problems than lower presumed performance. A cold solder joint can drop a lot more voltage than smaller wire size pretty easy.

Thanks for the link!

Whats your wire length and amps? Your voltage drop numbers seem low, did you typo? I got the following:

length: 0.75 (9 inches)
amps: 100
12awg - 0.0012ohms, 0.12v drop
10awg - 0.0008ohms, 0.08v drop
08awg - 0.0005ohms, 0.05v drop

amps: 200
12awg - 0.0012ohms, 0.24v drop
10awg - 0.0008ohms, 0.16v drop
08awg - 0.0005ohms, 0.10v drop
