Yup! Seems like most have moved on to the Yokom MR4-BX.... or to other 4WD kits! Best of luck and good to hear of another Off-Road Track opening up!

Default HELP!!

Well people... I am going to post it here too.. because someone might still have this stuff around.

I am trying to get my old Dogfighter 870c running.. I need tires.. but no modern tire is made for 2" dia wheels now.

So I do know that later Dogfighers of the 90's ran a 2.2 dia wheel..

ANYONE have any of these around ? with the SQUARE insert for Yokomo?

Thanks

James

Yokomousa.com still has full support for this car. I just sold mine, but all parts are available on their site and you will have them within days.

Well, here we are - next season, and me.. I don't buy new stuff.

But now I have a MR4-BC as well as the TC.

Its a pretty good looking 4wd buggy and I got a heck of a deal.

Anyone else?

I have seen with the buggy that I could also convert the axles from it to my YZ-10 and run modern rubber.

Anyone have a parts car they want to get rid of? I need the later wheel hubs and axles.. anything else is xtra.

Bikerbob,

I have a SDF2 Special sitting in my basement. If you seriously want a spare car pm me with your email and I'll send you photos of what I have. Great 4wd buggy that I had lots of fun with!

ANyone who is, or who did,

What did you run for springs on a hardpack bluegrove track?

White springs seem very soft to me.. but yokomo only has three spring choices?

Very soft - a Silver med - and the whites which I assume are supposed to be stiff?

What other springs are good to use on this car? Losi?

Thought I would post again, just to freak people out that someone still owns it and is running it.

LOL..

Parts ARGG thats hard.. but we are running indoor carpet offroad.. and as long as I am doing the slow is fast thing.. and not driving like a fool I am doing good and having fun.

Anyone have parts lying around I am in the market for shocktowers, arms and YES - a slipper clutch.. which I never did buy.

If you are reading this.. you must have some interest current or passing.. has anyone ever run any other springs than the white ones??

you can use associated springs or better new yokomo spring set for the MR4BX.

For slipper try to send a mail to rc-champ maybe they have in stock.

Is there any way to convert this car to Losi/AE or BX style wheels?

Well I got the arms from Sheldon's Hobbies,

Yokomo has most parts still though they do say they are getting limited on some of the front end parts now.

Ok, hub will be easy to get then. Not sure how I know what toe I have right now (on the hub I mean) although from the way it mounts.. I guess there is no toe at the arm hinge.. so any toe I have is from the hub I guess.

Worse thing about this chassis now is that I cant get a lipo into the battery tray area very well at all.. hardcase I have (Orion) does NOT fit.

dr_hfuhuhurr - its a pinned axle, are the losi and AE type hex wheels? Tamiya are.. so you could use their rims - since they are pinned you just take hexes from any Yok car TC, SD, BD etc.. and put your rims on.. and hope that clearances for everything are ok?

Yeah I'm surprised you still run one of these.

I have an old SDF2 and spares sitting in my basement. If anyone is interested in buying it, pm me your email and I will send pictures. I loved driving this buggy, it is a shame my local track is all 1/8 scale.
