Just try out these 2 setups, they worked for me when i had the same car ages ago.
I just added around 60-80g of lead to compensate for NIMH cells

Does anyone know of a place to buy BITS for this car anywhere in the world?

Or anyone still have pistons, ball ends etc..etc.. diff balls, etc..etc..

I need the little niggly things..

Anyone moved to Associated shocks?

I am running on a low pile industrial carpet and tuning this car is hard when you have no spares to change.

THis hobby bugs me in that there might be 10 manufacturers out there, but only Associated and Tamiya can you get just about anywhere.

I am not a fan of spending all the time - maybe I should buy a mid level tamiya, then I can at least hop it up , and enjoy it, because I can get the parts.

just balanced my car last night.. and I added about 80g to the outside edge where the battery is.

4 wheel balance is within 5g left to right.. and I am 200g hvy in rear over front total.. about 900 in the back and 700 in the front.

Default Belt skip??

Hey folks,

Running a Mr-4bc with a 4300kv novak in it.

84/23 gearing (but that does not seem to matter)

No slipper - stock drive train.

IF I punch the throttle I get a dull crunching sound which I think is the belt teeth skipping over the drive gear.

IF I roll on, I can still go full throttle .. but no crunch.

Starting from a standing tone start, I get it, if I dont punch I am getting hammered by the guy behind me..

I have installed an extra tensioner further up the top deck, but I think this is an issue right at the centre drive gear.

Anyone have a suggestion besides .. dont punch it?

OH I can PUNCH the throttle when the car is already rolling.

They look 'OK' but I guess thats the issue with a 8y old buggy.. I have read in a thread or two going back to 2003 that it was an issue with this car.. mod motors skipping teeth.

I am running the special, so its using the aluminum center pulley.. guess I will ebay see what I can find.

never know. OR learn to drive REALLY smooth.

Hey Eddie? you ripp'n on the belts up your way? you dont have a slipper right?

James

Default MR4BC Rollers

I am looking for MR4BC rollers. I actually have a MR4MT but I am under the impression that the 4BC and 4MT are interchangeable. I am thinking of trying to convert it to a short course configuration and seeing what it can do. Looking for rollers for extra parts for the inevitable.

Considering as a buggy the front shock tower breakage was outragous, I would think your SC experience would not be good with a car you cannot get parts for.

Mine has been made a shelf queen now.. maybe and outdoor run or two here or there.. but without a slipper clutch and the power delivered by BL motors now.. this car is WAAAAY too brittle with no parts in my box..

Digging up this old tread as I've recently started running my MR4-BC again.
Looking for the 670 slipper I found the centerdiff of the Mmax 4-III is using partnumbers starting with 670 too.
http://www.teamyokomo.com/download/m...actory_exp.pdf
It kind of looks like I could combine these with some MX 4 parts to create the super rare MR4 BC slipper. What do you think?
