This is not a Roar race

But I would like to hear it from CRCRC ahead of time that this isn't going to be an issue just to be assured.

Castle products will for sure be allowed for Mod classes.

The problem is Super Stock, last I heard the Castle products didn't run 13.5 motors very well???

If you are referring to the January Midwest Champs, Stock Truck is pretty competitive, but it is the closest to being a beginner class.

My 5 year old son has been club racing for about a year now and I'm considering letting him run this year. My only concern is him getting in the way of one of the serious racers. I'm going to see how he's running by then.

i say they let the 4300 mamba run with the 10.5 crowd.

with the way they gear the 10.5 the 4300 geared normally will struggle to keep up

Considering there's not a 10.5 class sure...run them with the 10.5's.

Bike Racer: Thank you for clarifying that. I agree with the 13.5 comment too. I've tried running an Orion 10.5 with my mamba and it didn't work to well so I imagine a 13.5 would be worse. As for the 4300 comment.... well, they don't make a 4300. But they do make a 4600, and it falls more into the 7.5/6.5 category.

I know the lipo question has already been asked but just for clarification will they be allowed in all classes, including 13.5 superstock/stock?

I have a question about the rules.

What are the weight requirements for this race? I know most places use the ROAR standard but I just want to check.

Thanks, Michael

We loosely follow ROAR rules, and since Lipo is now legal, they are legal in all classes. We aren't going so far as to require them to be "ROAR Legal".

Weight will be ROAR rules.

Scott, I saw someone try an Orion 13.5 with a Mamba and it didn't go so well.

this race used to be a two day race , sat stock and sunday mod. that format caused the pros to run stock day for the extra track time and something to do on saturday. having the mains on sunday , the pros dont race stock classes. entries might be lower but better overall race.

The race was sold out and years past it sold out with this format, I would expect this race to sell out and be better cause they are addressing some the issues to make the race even better. The nitro race fills very fast, due to nitro guys are limited in the winter on where they run. If they build a track like the one they had the last time they were at the state fair grounds this race will be awesome and hard to top. I am trying to figure on how to get there (new job no vacation for 1 1/2 years)
