If the wires aren't getting hot, you aren't losing any power by using them. I'm using a typical 1/10 scale set up with Deans connectors and stock esc wiring and I don't have any problems.

hy,
i have a eight buggy with the losi brushless kit with the new xcelorin controless and neu 1515/2d/f
i use a zippy 4s 5000mA and a 16 pinion
i have a problem : there is a little cogging when i push a little the throttle
i set the timing at the lowest and the initial accleration high but the problems remains...
where is the problem
sorry for my english but i m french ...
thx so much for the future answers .

Integy makes a heatsink that clips directly to the motor, It has a mount for a 30mm fan on it and fits the Losi motor perfectly. My motor stays at 130 no matter how long I run it for now.
Also, R40, I am coming to Tuscaloosa for Thanksgiving, are there any good tracks in that area?

Yeah, I have basically the same problem, but it's hardly noticeable. Once the race starts, I never deal with it unless the car comes to a complete stop, or gets stuck against something. Smaller pinions do help, but the fact that it's a sensorless system is why we see it at all. I was looking through Losi's Site, and it appears as if they plan to release a sensored 8th scale system.

You may want to reduce the size of the pinion gear. Smaller pinion gears will usually reduce cogging. Also, I have noticed that if you adjust the throttle trim on the transmitter, you can reduce some cogging. Basically, increase forward throttle trim until the motor starts to move then back it off a small amount.
but with the 16 teeth pinions the buggy does wheeling on street so with a 15th it will be worth no ?

very good point man, another way of wording it, the higher the gearing you have the fast the wheels spin sooner, causing in more wheelies, electric motors really make as much torque as you ask them to, the fast is they just overheat if not efficiently running ie. overgeared

here are my settings
i put a 15 teeth it seems to be better
is a 14 teeth better for a 1515 2d in 4s ??
i try with a losi battery and it does the same thing...
the timing is correct for a 1515 o maybe the lowest is better
