you'll need the actual hub aswell...or you will have to drill out your current ones.

Hey guys quick question. A buddy of mine just went electric with his 8 and has the 2.5d on 4s and it seems slow, he is running 13/48 but it doesent seem to be slow from gearing. He is using the tekno kit and we replaced the wires from the MMM motor wires to 12g because we didnt want to put a jumper. Is the smaller gauge on the motor wires the problem? Thanks for any help.

he should be running a 15 pinion with the 48 spur and a 1512/2.5d
most of us run 14/46 and the speed is right on par with the fastest nitro

Ok, it seems like it isnt even trying. Could the 12 gauge wires be the problem?

hyperion 0610i single or duo you can get a good price at allerc.com i think the first time you sign up you get 5 bucks or 5% off something like that but fast & friendly service and i think free shipping but i have that charger and i love it handles 4s and 5s with a breeze just need a power supply but i dont think you will be unhappy at all.

I doubt it, I used to run the factory wire on my Mamba Max in the same car ant it was still fast.

anyone run a fan on their motor? I was thinking this could be an easy solution to avoid overheating during the warmer months. The problem would be where to locate it.

I did on an earlier conversion. I used a strip of aluminium 3/8 x 3 maybe? bolted across the front of the diff mount where the brake caliper mounted then it was bent so the fan (40mm) would sit next to the diff right infront of the motor.

I'm hoping the Xcelorin Heat sinks come out soon. Colder is better even when it's cold outside! Once they do, I may try to find a way to rig up a fan on it.

Integy makes a heatsink that clips directly to the motor, It has a mount for a 30mm fan on it and fits the Losi motor perfectly. My motor stays at 130 no matter how long I run it for now.

Also, R40, I am coming to Tuscaloosa for Thanksgiving, are there any good tracks in that area?

Do you have a link or pic of the one you're using? Is it something like this?

I only know of three tracks in Alabama. One is in Foley, not bad, but the dirt kinda sux... too sandy. The next is kinda up in the air at the moment. I know it's supposed to remain, but I'm really not sure. The last is in Dothan, and AFAIK, is going strong. The only one I have a link for, is at Hot Shots. I bet if you asked there, they could tell you about Dothan:
