Hey everyone...I have a Tekno Lektron motor, and that went bad today. I want to buy a new motor, such as Tekin, or Castle, and I was wondering, since I don't have a mount, since the Lektron has the motor built into the mount, would I be able to use any other mount, other than the Tekno one? Or do I have to use the Tekno mount? Just curious before I buy anything. If other options are available, that is good too. I am looking for the cheapest possible route.

We do not currently offer higher than the 18, although we may in the future. I'm not really sure why people running the VE8 are using such big pinions. We find that running close to stock nitro gearing (16/48 for the D8) gives the best overall performance. On the VE8 that would be roughly a 17/50.
I think a lot of people are too concerned with overall top speed and gear too high. Having your car go more than 40 mph is simply not needed on most tracks, and it can make your car harder to drive as well as tax your ESC and batteries.

New problems I need a bit of help. Wobbling front center CVD. Spur gear scrubbing the side of the top plate.
EDIT: I fixed the wobble. The center/front dogbone used to ridee on the edge of the diff coupling but with the braces on and tightened no more. This conversion has ultra tight bracings.
-With the brace back on the spur gear no longer scrubs the top plate side. Although it only has what seems 1mm or smaller of space to make contact. How do I center it?
