I think it's only fair to point out something about traxxas stuff that you may be missing in your blind dislike for the brand
my first RC was a Rustler, then eventually moved to a Jato/Revo and from there I started getting the race kits from AE/Losi and the like
without traxxas, I would have never purchased any AE/Losi/race product
without traxxas, I would have never actually raced at a local track
there is something that's a little "intense" and "nerdy" about going to a full race kit starting from scratch with zero experience. It seemed hardcore, and like it wouldn't be as much fun as just running a more simple RTR.
Traxxas does bring in a lot of rookies, many of which go on to buying from and supporting the race brands you like so much. The racing population would be smaller without traxxas getting so many people involved in something that they would have otherwise skipped over.

The back cover ad in the new Car Action magazine is pretty interesting.

I found this quote from Cliff interesting and hopefull AE will help legitimize the RC Version of a CORR Truck.
Cliff went on to say, “The partnership between Team Associated and the Barlow/Red Bull/Bosch team took over a year to put together. It totally makes sense for Associated to be involved in this sport for more than just future product development. It is indisputably the closest full-size example of R/C off road truck racing that I have ever witnessed. Since Team Associated’s heritage is based on premium race vehicle design, which allows us to compete and win at the highest level of competition, we already see numerous ways that Associated can influence the future designs of full-size short course truck racing, and how these trucks can influence the future of high performance R/C race trucks."

I don't read that quote to mean that they are going to make a CORR style RC
I read it to mean that they're going to see if any tech used on the CORR trucks could be scaled down or used in RC's (T5, B5)
looks like he's justifying the $$$$ spent on sponsorship more than predicting an AE CORR rc

true but shining light on the subject means it could be a possibility...so i hope that they release one for all the ae drivers i don't think it could hurt them in the least bit...honestly if anything would make the corr class that much more popular...i myself am glad to see another class emerge even though it's on a local level it's something new..so hopefully some other companies release kits/rtr's what ever to fill the class up with more than just traxxas
