Electric 1/8th Scale conversion kits.
brushless 8T 2.0
Trying photobucket for my first time, hope this works.
Hey I'm not stupid.
So, the mount, although it looks big, weighs a bit less than the "normal" one that everyone uses which flips the diff around the other way and raises it with the spacer. Took me 2 days to mill and I am not quite happy with it. I could have lowered the motor .100" and still had good clearence for the chassis to flex and the pinion to clear. I will probably make a new one later but I used the last of my 1/2" plate.
The battery is a "quick change" thing (I havent finished the latch though so no pic of that yet) so the battery stays with the battery tray, it just slides on and locks into place on the chassis. It is elevated slightly off the chassis so as not to inhibit the chassis from flexing. Total weight is 9.05 lbs and I could trim a bit of fat still from the battery tray and the mount if I want to. Should be about max 9 flat after body and paint and the fat reduction.
Weight is dead even Left to Right and is about .07 lbs heavier towards the rear.
Took it to the track Sunday to play on the snow (snow is frozen solid so you can walk on it). The thing is amazing. It could be geared a bit higher (running 16/50) possibly but it is planted, jumps perfectly and cornering, well, i was on snow, who knows. It cornered great in the snow.
Unfortunately the track is buried in 10" of frozen snow, I have alot of digging to do to get to try it on some dirt.

I don't, only in Florida. Our "Battle Wagon" hasn't been tested on a longer trip like that. Once we do, and are comfy with it, we'll branch out a little more. Also, it's really expensive to tow it, so even with gas prices low, it's just not in the budget right now.
We do race here though:

That's actually a Losi set that came out of the box like that. It was a limited edition and they are out of production now. You can still find some on Ebay now and then at a premium price. The set came with a race roller that has the Losi conversion kit and 2100 esc/motor installed. The one I'm selling also has a servo and lipo included.

Thanks, it is so easy to drive. I am about a second faster with this car than I was with my Losi.

Not really sure what you mean by an out of the box set- Well, I pre-ordered the 8T 2.0 race roller, then spent 2 days with Autocad designing up the mount, 2 days on my milling machine making a mount and another 2 days trying to perfect the battery tray which I still need to finish (got too excited and had to play so it is only half done). I hand built every part of the conversion. The radio tray was the stock nitro one that I attacked with a dremel. The mount for the monster was also something I made up myself although it was about 1/2 hour worth of hacking and milling, didnt put alot of thought into that one.
I have to be sneaky with the pics as my wife doesnt really know about it yet.
I have the body getting painted hopefully this week. I will pull it apart when the smart diffs come and take some pics of the mount and battery tray quick connect system, other than that, it is just a normal 8T 2.0. If anyone wants a .dxf file I have it modeled in 3d. I could probably post .jpgs with dimensions if anyone wants to manually mill one as well but doesnt have acad to read the .dxf.
