Gary,
I tried to measure the tire when it was ballooning... but I couldn't run that fast!!! LOL!!

You could measure it by holding the vehicle on a platform on the chassis and rapping the throttle with a tape measure held close to the tire.. Be VERY careful.

Just leave it at zero or assume maybe 1/4 inch. In theory, ballooning should make the car faster, so if you leave it at zero, the speed should be conservative.

The tire diameter should be on the sidewall of your tire. Proline buggy wheels I use are 4.33 inches. Check their website to see if they list tire diameter.

5.5-5.65 and .3-.7 depending on how many volts 3s vs 5s same 15/46t gearing....

darn truggy almost took off a finger

so im doing about
32 mph (52 km/h) - 4% loss
4.64 ft-lbs
1221 watts (1.6 HP)
on 3s 3.7v/11.1v, not bad(my speed meter is off or the program is off/or my calcuations re) my speed meter says 38mph, mabey cus its a full charge so then it would be 4.2v per cell...

Especially since Castle came out with their software upgrade.
Maybe he will chime in on how he views the difference. I did not have an opportunity to drive his buggy.

I run an 11 tooth on my buggy... I SHOULD go down to a 10T.
I liked the power of Dan's car, but it was on the verge of out of control. I would like to have all three motors, there would be tracks that you could use all that power!! I am going to stay with my motor beacuse of the run time. I can run with the nitro guys here in Ohio and run a 30 main.
I am going to build an 8T and run the faster motor in it jusy to play at the track.

RC8 all the way!

My brother and I will be there with our 8ights. Dunno if we'll have enough for a class, but I'm going to be there racing anyway, so I figured I would throw it in there.

I have to agree that the 1512 2.5d/f is an ideal motor for most 1/8th scale tracks around. Its a perfect blend of torque and top end on 4s. Out of curiosity, what temps are you guys getting on the 1512 1.5D after a 10-15 minute run on 4s?

Badassrevo, have you tried a 5s pack on it yet? I run mine on 5s when I'm just playing around and geared at 14/46 is just nuts. You should try it out on your 8T project since you already have the motor.

oh, and dan, saw the new jammin ultimate trays you told me about last month. looks nice.

Just got confirmation straight from Enerland that they have 25C 6000mah batteries out there. I guess they upgraded over the 20C stuff. Looking at RCmonster's site, that pic they have on there does say 25C, even though the listing says 20C.

So, with this info, adnthe pack weighs alittle more than a maxamps 6000mah, I wonder if its working going for the extra 1000mah over the 5000mah 25C Polyquest? seems you would also get better ratings too.

Thoughts anyone?

I have one ordered from Neu... Not sure when it will arrive. You can claim it now if you like.

as u guys know i use to run a 4s 8000mah pack, and im running a maxamps 3s 8000 pack in my truggy, with my 1515 1y/f....

I wanted to know how much diffrients there is by switching to a 4s 6000mah Polyquest/type pack,(that has a 25C), vs. 4s maxamps 6000mah pack,(20C)???
Also if u have or had a 4s 8000mah maxamps pack vs. a 4s 6000mah Erlaind 25C pack?

for any info, doesnt have to be a 6000mah pack, it could be a 4s 5000mah (25C) Polyquest/erliand type pack vs. a maxamps 4s 5000mah or 6000mah pack?

My next pack is looking to be a 4s 6000mah pack....
im looking for 20mins or more runtime.
also more performance then my 4s 8000mah maxamps pack, or = to it. but want a lighter pack then my old maxamps 4s 8000mah,....i would by a 4s 8000mah, but its just a hair too heavy,e.i 725grams....

my maxamps 3s 8000 pack , is around the perfect weight,e.i 545grams.....
and my 8T tuggy drives alot better , handles the bumps, jumps, turns, way better..... i have my 8T setup perfect, its on rails..... i want to get a 4s pack, when the MMM comes out... so im looking for any 4s pack around 600grams..... that can run 20min main or more/with my big 1515 1y,geared to run around 40mph....

So i know a few of u have ran a maxamps 4s 5000/6000/8000pack, an now have an run Polyquest/Erliand 4s 5000/6000packs....
but u guys run buggys......
anyway could u post your old setup/an battery,vs ur new setup/battery, and how much runtime are u seeing with ur race gearing(track)?

btw 20c vs 25c
Did u see more runtime? Similar?

Or did u just see more performance?

Or both?
anyone know of a write up compareing the packs on another borad?
or could one post a write up here ? on what theyve found from a 20c vs 25c pack...an did anyone try a 30c pack yet?

btw i see some new 30C lipos that are comeing out, only seen them in2s-4s 4000mah an under, but i could buy 2 30c packs to make a 4s 6000ish mah pack, u guys think these would run better than 1 25C 4s 6000pack?? money/cost doent matter, i just want best 4s6000mah pack, ill buy 2, then sell my lipos/n gas stuff, for a 3rd pac...... but 2 (25-30C)4s 6000 pack should be enuff for all day racing, so i mite not need 3rd pack, just 2...

I'll be there and I'm bringing my Turmoil.

I had it there 2 or 3 weeks ago and a bunch of guys drove it, including Bernie. He seemed to enjoy it judging from the silly grin.

Default MM sp control prep

Hi, I've got some questions for you experts. I'm going to use a Castle MM in my Kyosho MP-6 brushless conversion. I'll be using a 4s A123 pack(13.2 volts). It will be mounted on a RCDesigns top plate/speed control mount. Will one fan mounted on the bottom of the mount with holes in the speed controls case be enough? How do I attach the speed control to the mount? What fans are being used? I'm going to solder in 2 JST males with the Deans male to supply power for the fans and radio at the battery connection. I'm going to pull the red wire at the receiver plug. I've built a voltage regulator out of a 7805 and some resistors to get 6 volts. I presume when I program the MM with my computer it will tell me what version of software it has? I just bought the MM Feb 4 from Bishop Power Products. Almost forgot, I'm using a Feigao 10L geared 14/46. Thanks, Don
