How many 5-minute runs do Silver Smoothie 2's usually last before replacement when running on high-grip indoor clay with kit foams?

Currently using SXT Baja Max, any other recommendations for a near odorless sauce? (Don't want to use liquid wrench if possible)

So after talking a bit with a Jconcepts Team driver local to my track about what we both think would work for tires on our turf surface that is rubber backed, he ended up ordering some drop steps. Those basically are the hot tire now on our surface. The perform similar to what I was hoping, the smaller pin portion biting into the surface while the larger step portion provided some stability. The tires appear to "release" more consistent in a turn that we were seeing with pyramids or mezzos.

He also did run with an idea we used in the old days prior to him running Jcon stuff, going with a 4wd front tire on a 2wd standard rim, similar to what was being done by the racers in Japan using schumacher fusion tires. Pin swags were his hot tire and definitely looked more consistent out there than the skinny version.

With the release of the standard pin swag and fuzzbite fronts, what conditions are envisioned where you go with these tires versus the skinny versions? How much of a weight difference with including that new foam insert over a skinny?

Any plans for some premounts?

Received a couple sets of 2WD Fuzz Bite (WIDE) Front tires this morning. But not enough time to glue them up for the track. Plus one pack had mismatched pair with one Pin Swag and one Fuzz Bite.

Yeah I had an issue with the JC team only sent me one set of tires when I had ordered two. Great to see the team looking out for their customers.

Their returns could use some work though

The new tires weight 5-6g more per wheel/tire than the narrow.

I'm not sure about use situation but they definitely have more steering.

They are intended to give smoother initial steering, but overall more steering throughout the entire corner.

Hi Jay and welcome back!

We do have green Sprinters in stock, but currently out of blue and green Goosebumps. Once you click on the Sprinters, you have to change the compound to green in the compound selection drop-down box, then you can click to buy.

thanks for the info. So far so good with the wide 2wd pinswag fronts. Felt pretty consistent around the track and seem to have a bit less fold over than what I was seeing with some skinny fronts, maybe due to the foam? width looks the same as the 4wd variant.

Curious if anyone has tried the these for a 4wd vehicle front? Only thing is they are not as tall as a rear tire though, so not sure how much of a diff it will matter, I know schumacher made the fusion 2s to be taller in height to get more even with there rears. But I do like how these don't fold over.

Does this mean gluing the sidewalls is no longer necessary?

Comparison
4WD Fuzz Bite Front: 27.3mm W x 8.5mm H (sidewall)
2WD Fuzz Bite (Wide) Front: 26.2mm W x 5.5mm H (sidewall)

I was able to glue the 2WD Fuzz Bite (Wide) Front using the Raceform Lazer 1/10 Jig w/ Carpet Conversion kit with the recommended 2WD front plates (2R+2R+5R+5R) vs 4WD front plates (3R+5R+5R). This seems to align with the slightly narrower width. You do have to 'help' the tire to start pulling back the bead, but otherwise no issue (stayed correctly peeled back and reseated the bead nicely the entire circumference).
