I recently switched from NiMh to LiPo in the BJ4-WE and without the added weight the car is impossible to drive. Not surprising since the car was designed to be balanced with the weight of NiMh batteries.

Adding the weight back into the buggy will correct the problem.

Hey guys thanks so much for the response as well as the tips,I really tried to do as much homework on this kit before I purchased it.My only concern was with the introduction of the b44 if parts were gonna still be available for the bj4 because it seems like to me that if you ask 3 different people this questions youll get 3 different answers.Ive heard that j concepts is a division of associated ( BUT WHEN I SEEN LOSI PARTS IN THIS KIT I FIGURED THAT TO BE WRONG) Ive also heard that j concepts was purchased by associated.And finally Ive heard that the b44 was the same thing as a bj4.But after reading all of the threads it looks like j concepts is there own breed of rc car,and parts shouldnt be a problem to get. So thanx again guys Im gonna go ahead and break this factory seal on this box and get to work.:)

ps Im sure ill be back in here for some setup tips though LOL

Can't you just adjust your setup rather than having to add weight to the car. Were talking what 2-3 oz? I don't see how you can't just change it a lil to compensate. Just curious.

What statement on your site, I looked all over the place, but I didn't find a statement that dispelled what he was talking about. I was just curious.

The BJ4WE was designed to be a balanced car. Take 4oz away from the rear, and your on your own for setup. You may be able to compensate somewhat with oil and springs in the bumps, but you'll be fighting for rear traction, and jump a 15-20 ft. double/triple, and that light rear end will be noticed.

It would be easier to just add the weight. Also, if your racing, there are minimum weight requirements.

I'm not saying it couldn't be done, but that's a road I'm not going down. With the power available with brushless motors, weight is not an issue. I actually like a VERY heavy car. I also race on pretty rutted up tracks after the 1/8 scale and Truggies tear it up.

Any chance that you guys will release a BJ4WE-specific undertray? The one for the standard car doesn't even come close to fitting the saddlepack chassis.

Anyone have a link or a setup for a bj4 we for an indoor medium bite track?Medium sized jumps.Tire that are popular are clay losi tapers or Panther switches in clay compound.Any setup help is appreciated.
