I'm hesitant to move to 60mm. I'm not familiar with them and in our lower grip and bumpy environs. I'm not sure they'll be suited.

Have you done any testing with your drivers in Oz with the 60mm tyres?
I haven't heard of any feedback or know of any testing them in Oz, but just trying to think of alternatives. We have run them here in Florida, but most of our surfaces are fairly smooth and traction comes up pretty quick.

will they make a rc8t3e truggy body ?
Yes, but I'm sure it will be shared with the nitro.

All 1/8th buggy tires should come with Dirt Tech inserts.

The 2.2 Black Dirt Webs still come with the white inserts.

For the tracks here in FL (dry surface, not wet), we use SXT 3.0 sauce on Smoothies/slicks and it comes in the same containers that socket posted - http://www.tractioncompound.com/

If I need to use Diesel, then I just use one of the old SXT bottles...

Ben, if the track is damp then use Double Dee 4wd fronts, if its grooved then Blue Bar codes are a good match. I have cut some rears down to make 3d fronts but generally prefer the feel of the bar codes.

I havent tried the Reflexes yet, but in general the 2.2" give better traction on our bumpier tracks than the 60mm. With 60mm only just becoming legal I havent tried the full range here.

Have the Metrix 1/8 tires been discontinued? Recommends for alternatives? TIA
They were probably the best tire at my local track that I've come across. The Crossbows are great too but the Metrix I could push harder...

I found a great container for applying that sauce! Get yourself a bottle of kiwi shoe polishing product like this. The top has a foam applicator with a push valve that only releases the product when pressure is applied. Doesn't leak and is amazing for applying no mess whatsoever. The top pulls off soo you can clean the shoe product out no problem.

I think they are still working on the alloy parts needed for the towers.

Unfortunately, it just wasn't a good seller, so I believe they are being discontinued. I would say the Cross Bow or Chasers would be the closest feel on the track.
