I've been running dirt techs in the dirtwebs which are fantastic when the track is moist and has grip. When running on a lower bite track I can't get the dirtwebs or any other tire to hook up with closed cell foams, open foams work a ton better. I've tried the rolling pin, trimming the inside edge, and punching holes in the foams. Does anyone else still use open cell foams or just me? I hate open cells by the way!

We use the stock foam all the time outdoors. Sometimes the stock white foam is just better .

Yes, a pick & pluck transmitter bag is coming . We are expecting the 2 new bags to be here at the end of this month.

The truth hurts :(

Any way to make closed cell foams as soft as open cell? Get the best of both worlds...

There might be some different things to soften them up, but that just means they will probably not last any longer than a open cell insert. I haven't tried it, but I've heard of people soaking the inserts and then dry them in the dryer.

No ETA yet.

I picked up a set of SC Dirt Web golds and blacks. The inserts seem to be from 2 different manufactures. The gold inserts fill the tire but the blacks leave an air gap between the foam and tire. They are also different colors of blue. Last year, I picked up a set of black barcodes and their inserts were the same way. Is the black SC compounds designed to have a smaller insert since typically they will be ran on lower bite surfaces or is this a supplier/manufacturing issue??

Sounds like a supplier issue; please contact JConcepts directly at [email protected]

Unfortunately I don't see that in the cards right now, SCT's numbers are really on the decline.

Locally they are starting to pick back up. Hopefully we are starting a trend a SCT will be making a comeback. I have been seeing ST numbers growing as well. It would be great to see all classes starting to fill up.

Any chance of getting a part number so I can get in on that pre-order? :sneaky: I am not seeing one on GP.

I bought one used, but it caused at least 5 other guys to buy them and one guy to dig his SC10 RTR out of the basement and update it to an SC10.2, as well as sparked an awesome 17.5 SCT class.

Sorry if this has been asked already. Is there any plans to release dirt webs for the new 60mm rims?
