Since I haven't asked in a few weeks & I haven't gotten my daily quota of groveling in...

please, Please, PLEASE, make some Rulux 1/10 buggy wheels with 12mm hexes for the B4.2

Even rctech likes spoked wheels. see!

That rim took some serious abuse, tire probably did too.

No, mine are just as dirty
No thanks Jeff

Maybe it is just dirt now that you point it out and I zoomed in.
But still the tire could have rubbed a pipe or who knows just right.

CA will fix it. There are guys that cut whole tires to fit different rims and vehicles and glue them back together.

Last Jconcepts tires I buy, lol.

I've beat the hell out of prolines and never torn a tire.

I just do not have good luck with Jconcepts...

I'm by no means an amazing driver, but certainly not terrible. If it was from rubbing a pipe, it's pretty disappointing that they're so fragile..

I have had the same issue, but also with proline, panther, & beta (the sweeps I got recently haven't done it, yet). It happens mostly with my ebug, but it does happen with my 1/10 also. Looking at your tire & wheel, I'm seeing lots of grey clay on the edge of the wheel, but none on the lugnut or axle or middle of the wheel in general. I also notice that you, like myself, are running the open cell inserts. Like mine, It looks like your tire tore rather than the glue coming off. With my situation, & now reinforced by seeing yours, I'm begining to think the problem is to much traction for the insert. I think the tire might be rolling over all the way to the wheel putting huge stress on the area that is glued on. This is where the roll stops & the stretch begins. I'm beging to think we both need to use firmer inserts.

Does this sound like a reasonable hypothesis to any one else?

yes, this seems to make perfect sense. With the softer inserts you will be getting crazy slip angles with the tires, and they will be rolling to far over on the carcass. Causing exactly what you said, stretch and tear.

Related question for my ebug.
If I get firmer inserts but the grooves on the insert don't macth the grooves on the tire, how will this effect the performance?
