Want to throw a quick shout out to the G-Locs and the Rulux 2.8" combo meal. BEST tire/wheel combo I have ever bought. If your streetfighters aren't doing the job, these are where it's at. They hardly balloon on 4S and drift great if you have an on road truck like me.

As a matter of fact, everything I have from J Concepts has been great. Keep up the good work!

Hey,
Saw on rcinsider that jr mitch had some new parts for his 22sct. Are there any pics of these items or information or are they out already and i just missed it?

2189 TLR 22/ 22T and 22 SCT Monroe Carbon Fiber Battery Brace
2215 22 SCT front body mount brace
2216 22 SCT rear body mount brace

Thanks

Thanks lemonader! Most of the guys here are racers and probably don't know about the G-Locs, but you are spot on. They are so much fun to drive on a 4x4 Pede or 4x4 Slash on 3 or 4S

PW,
I mount up my JC tires last night on my b4. I compared the JC front and the rear inserts. The fronts appear to already be 3/4 the width of the rear foam and the same thickness. So I decided to use the included foams. I am sure my foam cutting skills would have been worst then the included fronts. We used to use the rear up front back when losi shipped these skinny little foams up front, but your foams are pretty wide out of the package.

Paul, how do I go about changing a class from one to another for Landen that I have already paid for him to enter?

Grasschopper 08-31-2012 10:01 AM

Question regarding the SSpeed Sprus. Are they known to not be overly durable? I bought a couple and last week ran one in my XXX-SCT and it's toast...or at least it looks too worn for me to use in another race. I has 3 heats and a main on it as well as 20 min or so of practice. Previously I was using the Losi Kevlar spurs and ran one for 3 dace days (so 3X the above) and I could still run the same spur.

The JC spur looks trapezoidal now when looking edge on and the teeth are much shorter than original. I run Robinson Racing pinions.

If they are durable what could I have set up wrong to cause this?

Yes; we have had great luck with the SSpeed gears regarding durability. I go months without changing gears on my 2wd and SCT, but I use strictly AE or Losi steel pinions. I'm not exactly sure what could be the issue, but I'm willing to bet it's the alloy pinion. I've had really bad experiences with alloy pinions, especially used ones. I recommend a fresh steel pinion from time to time.

Well the pinion is steel and is new this spring...looks brand new.

Hmm...That sounds really out of the ordinarily then. I will check the spur on one of our Engineers personal TLR22 and see how his looks. He has had his on since they came out.

Could the motor plate and/or top shaft bent?

I don't think so but it could be I suppose...I will double check it when I get home. Again this didn't happen with the Losi Kevlar spur....now that I think about it; how do you bend a top shaft?

I don't know but have seen them wobble. Maybe a bad landing on the tail end that would bend the motor plate then that would slam against the spur/top shaft. Anything is possible.
