tip: don't reinvent the wheel. use the tires the fast guys are using.

The fast guys complain about not having enought traction until the main. Keep in mind it is an outdoor track where conditions change from heat to heat. What is why I am looking of a tire that is better in mixed conditions than 2 D's, which is what the "fast" guys run. I took a small cell phone vdeo of the track during practice. Not water and no sweeping, so not sure how helpful. But here it is.

I would say green 3D's (rear) and green Rips (front). Nothing is going to be magic on that sandy surface, so keep that in mind.

What is the real world usage of the JC tire compounds actually good for? I can read their website like anyone else, lol. But i see people using Green on everything thing from dusty, to wet, to indoor groove. In fact if you look on the for sale forums almost everything is green compound. JC says that blue is the all round use compound, but it seems like the racers use green for everything.

My new go to tire for loamy tracks on my 2 wheel buggy are green dd's in the front, I cut them rather narrow leaving only 7 lugs across. They've been great so far, something for jconcepts to consider producing.

Well, I am in southern Arizona and summer racing can be 100+ easy mode, lol. Lol, high 90's even after the sun is down. So green is really the over all best compound "most" of the time?
