rebuilt diff end of Nov and hadn't touched it since. I race 3-4 times a week with every other monday all day practices. I have carbide balls and AE grease. Thinking of going Ceramic tho.

How much time you have on the car? The Top shaft is lasting about 6 months of racing. Setting the slipper too loose has nothing to do with this. The alum they used for the top shaft is just a touch too soft and wears out and this in turn starts to eat idle gears. Replace the top shaft and you should be good to go.

got car in august and just replaced the top shaft in mid December. or was you talking to me?

Thats about what the car got on it.. the alum top shaft is not ate up.. but you could see where the upper shaft was seemed soft.. i did replace both, and will check the wear after a race day again..

I guess I don't race enough! I guess the more that I think about it I got about 3 months of good racing on my top shaft until I started eating idlers. I know Kyosho is looking at the material for the top shaft. Not sure if or when they may update the part. They should last longer then that.
