Actually, Stock motors can run bearings now that BL is so popular. Not that it mattered to me. I always replaced the bushings with bearings on my brushed stocker's.

Hey y'all! new Vader guy here from Jackson, MS.

I just picked up a Duratrax Evader EXT and I love it. I'm not new to RC but it has been a while. After going through about 20 charges of my 1500 7.2 battery, I sheared off one of the rear axles which I hear is common on these so I just ordered 2 replacements and am looking at upgrading to a stronger CVD for the rear. I also ordered the bearing kit and extra springs for the dogbones. I forgot how addictive RC modding can be.

I've heard both Associated and Losi rims fit the Vader. I just bought some T3 rear wheels for mine and they fit great.

Does anyone know if these work for the electric evader?

The Evader is basicly a Losi so they will fit, AE will work also BUT they will make the truck wider about 1/8 inch per side. IF the track you race at checks this you will not be racing until you change them.

I've never had anyone complain at the club level. I did run AE on the front and Losi on the back when I raced them.

Losi and Proline rims will handle acetone and boiling, just don't do either with the chrome ones.

Which Losi shocks will fit the Evader? Do any of the AE shocks fit? I want to upgrade the shocks to a set that I can rebuild.

The Losi XXXT shocks fit, or you can just buy the Evader ST shocks.

Does anyone know a better slipper mod, my brass slipper bush has seized to the top shaft, so my slipper does not work even with the nut undone all the way, its still locked.

Well I successfully replaced a broken suspension arm with a Losi Speed T XXXT suspension arm and it was a perfect fit. I put the bearing kit in as well and wow what a difference.

Default Racers, please read

What batteries do most of you all run when racing, specifically the guys that run on an indoor carpet track? Also, let me know your setup. Right now my setup is completely stock with the Sprint ESC and Photon motor. I probably won't upgrade either one of those because if I get to the point that I want to upgrade, I'll just spend my money on a little higher end kit like a T4 or something.

Only the outer hub and slipper pad will fit.

Duratrax shocks are basically Losi shocks so either will fit BUT with Duratrax ST shocks you will at least know they are the right length .

With Losi shocks you will need to know which one will fit.

In the "old days" the HOT hop up for a B/T3 was to put a wheel bearing in place of the bushing. BUT that doesn't work with a Duratrax the top gear shaft is bigger then the wheel bearings.

You could go bearing hunting OR lightly file the shaft hole bigger in the bushing.
