Start off with 3x1.35 + 3x1.3 pistons and medium shock oil.

Then try 4x1.3 + 4x1.2 pistons and heavy oil.

If there's harsh flat landings, I always run 6x1.3 pistons.

Any suggestions on running a Tekin Indoor T8i 1950kv in the HB e819 motor mount? There made for the std 42mm dia motors, but the indoor Tekin is 38mm dia? Thanks

It "fits" but the HB side pods are a little wider than the Mugen so it pushes the body out a small amount. The HB side pods also extend rearward a bit more than the Mugen but that doesn't look too bad fit wise. The front hole needs to be moved forward about the width of the hole on the Mugen (I just punched one real quick for the pictures). There is plenty of clearance for the electronics and battery.

Is this also the thread to discuss the RS version? I’m about to start building mine and was wondering if anyone had advice/things to look out for/helpful hints?

Currently building mine and had an issue with one of the shock collars not being able to thread properly. HB Racing is aware of the issue and are sending Absolute Hobbyz replacements. I mention Absolute Hobbyz because that is where I buy all my stuff, but I’m sure it’s the same for any dealer. Great build so far, so impressed with the quality. I used to think Kyosho was the best, and although they make a killer product, I prefer HB Racing now. I have it’s twin (D819 non RS) and have had great luck/experience with that one as well.

I race the EB48 2.0 for 1.5 years now and just ordered the HB kit. A bunch of guys at my track are turning to HB..... most of them are TLR guys. I think Im the only one who is from Tekno.... but I am still keeping it .... hopefully the HB will be better than my Tekno.... we will see.
