Anybody looking forward to putting in a set of cut gears made from these parts?

The B6 did not have that problem. All of us running the B6 before were on slipper eliminators with 13.5 on a super high bite....... no idler gear problems.

Isn't the B6.1 suppose to be superior to the B6? Why can't the B6.1 handle a 13.5 with a direct drive with mini pin tires in carpet. The B6 can do it all day long with no gear problems.

Do you even race in carpet?

Guys, stop complaining about gears. If you have a problem call AE directly. Toll Free: (855) 721-0266

I agree 100%. If 4 brand new B6.1d or 6.1 buggies had failed gears. SEND THEM IN. Let AE examine them, right???

Maybe you should go back to the B6, obviously the B6.1 isn't living up to your expectations. You can still sell it on RC tech for a decent price.

Personally I run a slipper on 13.5 or lower. If you want to save some weight, the Avid/Schelle slipper is a nice option to lose some weight (and centralize it) while still having a slipper. It’s what I use on my 13.5t truck and the difference is noticeable.

Is there an Avid/Schelle slipper kit out for the B6.1 yet? I've seen the one for the B6, but haven't seen Avid, Schelle, amain or anyone list B6.1 compatibility. Awesome if it does work, as I've already got a bunch of Avid spurs.

Thanks!

The B6.1 is sooooo easy to drive than the B6. Even with the standard setup. ..... Why would I sell it?

I am sharing this information so it will help the new owners. Who knows some internet rc engineer in this website might find a way to solve this problem.

BTW.... I installed the stock slipper back and tighten the slipper spring all the way and back out one turn..... we will see what happens.

From what I can see Avid does not yet. But I am wondering if the Durango drive plate would not make an Avid work. Durango drive plate

this is what comes in the B6.1 kit..... yes.. I have the regular dark grey color now in my B6.1 ..... but I don't want to be a guinea pig anymore and run a direct drive kit with it.
I'll see if the other guys are having good luck with running a direct drive with the old idler gear color.
