the tekno does have some teething problems, the spur gear thing sucks. I haven't had that problem (knock on wood) but I am not running the vehicle as much as you guys are.

Ditto on the 160T servo, I like ours.

All,

ARNDTCRAFT has their custom SF fan mount/cowl ready for pre-orders. It’s essentislly just like the one the created for the B64, but designed to fit the SF directly. From what I have been told it works excellent in lowering motor temps, which is understanble when you see how it’s designed.

front arms, rear arms, caster blocks (or upgrade to alu). maybe front shockshafts, front 77m dogbone (it can bend when you snap an arm or c-hub, good thing its cheap or you can fix it yourself)
atm Im racing indoor carpet with low ambient temps , around +7-9deg C. Arms are really stiff, no flex, no give. Maybe going to try something softer, like xray medium arms.

Did some driving on Eos carpet yesterday with Martin Wollanka testing his new Sworkz buggy.
I was able to keep up with him almost, the YZ4 is so easy to drive, even with uncut!!! Cactus all around. The car has so much corner speed like a 2WD car. Totally different to the XB4 I had before. No need to push the car to be quick.
Setup is not stock anymore. Xray springs, very hard oil 800, 500, short links front, 2,5 degr toe rear.
I am very happy switched from XB4 to YZ4sf

Are the shock towers pretty durable? I know on some vehicles that is the first thing to break.

I’m gonna say yes. They are thick and well anchored. Ive landed on mine in clay more than several times. Still good.

Overall Im impressed with the strength of the kit. I’ve broken a front arm, shock cap, a steering hub carrier and a steering hub in two separate accidents, but both were top speed accidents where i would have been more worried if something didn’t break.

Very durable and to negate dealing with front a arm breaks get the YZ4 +1 front flat or gullwing (personal preference on flat or gull). a arms, as they are insanely durable. Front inner hinge pins will have some exposure, hence not a huge deal and if u would like you can cover with wishbone tube/spacers etc.

Do you happen to know what the part number is on the +1 arms? Also do you need different dog bones with those arms?
