Hello fellow prisoners! Here's another layout suggestion.* Most of the lanes are 10', and those that aren't could probably be adjusted with some minor tweaking.
* For future consideration only. Not intended as commentary on the current layout.

Here's another idea that's a lot more open, so it could be fun for the faster classes, which a number of guys have expressed interest in, and still reasonable for our newer drivers. It's very similar to the layout seen in this video. All the lanes are 10' wide. Personally, I'm a fan of this type of fast/flowing layout, but I realize a lot of guys might think it's not technical enough.

now that is a great lay out with flow!!!

downspout
Hello corrc;
Glad you liked the down spout,it has done a good job for us @ magic city r/c.
We use a product called uhmw for our corners, it has stood up very well.
I can only remember one failure in three years of use.
Granted we only get to race twice a month still not bad. All we do is make a
wood plug to go into the spout and loop the uhmw around the end-looks like a lolly pop-this gives you a flapper that you can hit and not damage your car,
kind of like nascars safer barrier but better. I found this product at Motion Industries a local bearing supply co. that my brother inlaw worked at, I believe they have a store in the Denver area.
Let me know if you have any ?
