A couple of questions. I left my transponder back home. Is there a chance you folks have house transponders?

What time do the races start?

With SMC no longer selling tires, I could use some advise. I have ran black fronts, orange rears. Can some one point me to another company that would have similar compounds?

Teach - the SMC tires are just Jacos. So any place that sells Jaco Foam tires will have those compounds.

What would be the best servo for Touring cars?
What would be a good Radio to get instead of a Spektrum. Not looking to Spend a ton just something better?

Thanks

Russ, I would shop for a used radio that's not been abused much. You can find some good ones like a Futaba 4PKS, or Airtronics/Sanwa M11x, or a KO EURUS for not too bad. All will be far better than the Spektrum! I got an M11x when I upgraded but didn't want to spend much, a couple years ago for like $250 w/ 2 RXs. Good thing about the Airtronics/Sanwa is the RX's can be had pretty cheap. There are some radios around the club that sound like they may be for sale as well.

As for Servos, I asked that same question in the last few months, and the KO RSX One/10 seems to be considered one of the best. You can find em for ~ $100 via RC Market. They are short, light and pretty damn nice.

Registered for ROAR Nats, just stock TC and 1/12 right now given that it wont let you register for stock and mod. classes at the same time.

Gotta say I dig my Airtronics MT4 radio. Does what the other radios do without the bulky hassle.

I haven't had any issue with Savox 1251 or 1257/1258 servos if you're looking to save a few bucks.

I would also recommend the Airtronix MT4 or Futaba 4PL. Futaba receivers are slightly less expensive than the Airtronix. Great little radios and have all the functions you'll ever need for on-road.

Going the used route is not bad either but there is that chance with electronics of it not work of breaking early in it's life. If you buy from someone with a good rating though you should be good. Stay away from this off-road re-sellers, you know what there like, LOL.

Russ
you can get a brand new airtronics mt-4 radio from ebay for like around 220.00
for a servo you could go with a futaba bls 351 for around a 100.00
hope that helps
