Good question, hehe. Is that the July long? Must be. I haven't even checked.

Delmo:

OK! If you can please get me a definitive date for the weekend ASAP as some racers here have to book for holidays and seniority

Wow - lots of traffic while I was away... also I've been really sick this week.

Can someone please repost the entire schedule just so we have it in one place. As far as I can tell (didn't re-read the whole thing) the only change is the Red Deer race is now on the July LW?

It's still your top-2 finishes plus the final that count for points correct?

Also - did the entry form ever get finished? I'd like to send it to some sponsors if someone could email it to me [email protected].

Default Schedule

So - here I think is what was decided?

B.C Series Races:
Coquitlam Western Championships Series race May 16 – 19 2003
Quesnel Western Championships Series Race August 1 – 4 2003
Kelowna Western Championships Final August 29 – Sept 1 2003

Alberta Series Races:
Edmonton Western Championships Series Race June 6 - 8 2003
Red Deer Western Championships Series Race June 28-July 1 2003 (also the Alberta Champs)
Calgary Western Championships Series Race August 8,9-10 2003

Only your top-2 points races count + the final.
Race as many as you want.

For this year it is top-2 count to get the series going and promote maximum turnout at the finals...

Since I am doing to points I would be happy to make other "unofficial" calculations like total points or best 3 of 5...

I hope everyone had a great Christmas!

Yes it is still two count towards points going into the final.Korgae has been the only one suggesting the best three out of five going into the final. It would be a bit premature to decide that as this is still the first year and we are looking to growth.Next year could be a different story.

Chris:

The Quesnel Points Race is also the BC Champs this year.

Inferno:

No, Korgae did not say that. He said limiting a racer to only be able to count the first three races out of five was not good (hinders the Series concept) if they could attend all 5 point races. He agreed to only counting 2 races + the Final, but you should be able to attend all 5 and pick your top 2. That is what I stated as well and has been agreed upon by all.

thanks Don, much appreated

Yes that is what I said, but I don't think that was that clear in my post, I am glad most, got what I was saying.. for the others or just for the record I have edited my post to make it more clear.

I am glad that the change has been approved,(simply your best two finishes out of hoever many you can attend) I now can't wait for this series..

If what Inferno was sugesting was appoved I would not want to participate in it this year. (I doudt any 1/8 begginer would)

I told Chris that I was going to be talking to a bunch of Company's that I know to try to get prizes and handouts for the series..

anything I can do to help..

Korgae:

No problem. Just wanted to make sure everyone is on the same page. Any extras/prizes/draws you can help with for the Series races is cool, thanks...

Chris:

Talked to Rob in Kelowna today and he's helping set up the site/thread for the points for you at speedybones. Maybe you should call him at work at 1-866-444-6229 to get the scoop.

As a secondary thought occured to me, (it does happen sometimes) I hope that everyone realizes that at the Final Race in Kelowna in Sept that only the Western Canadian Champions for each class will be crowned. There will be NO 2nd, 3rd place etc for this coming years Championship (only the Championship winners get a trophy). All other trophies presented at Kelowna will be for the Okanagan Nitro Challenge as to what they provide for their race and how well you do.

In other words, the Champion Racers from each class get a one of a kind only trophy (bragging rights for a year, and a good start on a sponsor's resume, hehe).
