Default SAVE THE CHILL

I have never attended the event and took time off to get my first kick at the can and am a little dissapointed to see it cancelled. I am an avid racer and love to travel. I dont know what the previous race entry was at but im sure this event being as popular as it seems could add another 100 or 150 bucks.
Ive been pricing out a tripp to the vegas iic and its about 1500 usd to do
and tyo be honest id way rather do the chill. Dont take me misunderstood i have no say in what happens I just cant wait to do some indoor racing and will spare no expense to do it... just one more enthusiast named Boolare!
Mark.

I'm one of the committee members from one10drift.

Chilli hobby show is happening this year. The rent is pretty much the same compared to the last couple of years. We occupy maybe 1/3 of the space compared to you guys, so things might be different.

Good luck!

I have received some info on the new pricing offered.. This info was passed onto me from a past person in charge of the train show. So please do not hold me accountable if it is not 100% correct.

I am not sure how the $2500 rent that Chris and Ryan posted is completely broken down to them but two factors included in that price I am hearing are the Stage ($600 rental) and the bleachers ( $600 rental) Last year everything was included for a fixed rate of $500.00 and the stage and bleachers were thrown in for free as a good gesture.

I am sure we can find a driverstand to use for the weekend.

Personally I do not think we need either for this event reducing the cost down to $1300.... $700 more then last year's

If you do the rough and dirty math... a small increase of $10.00 per driver would more then make up for the extra $700.00 based on last years #'s..

I have tried to reach out to Chris, with no answers.. anyways the info is out there and I guess we have to see if OGR will save the race..

If silver can is that slow I probably won't bother with it then. Thanks for the offer but I still have a Speed Passion 17.5 motor and esc combo that I can pull from another car and use for now.

Can we please try to get this race going its been around now for quite a few years. It'll be a shame not to have it this year as a lot of people look forward to attend this race every year.. There seems to be a lot of racers not caring to spend a few dollars more to race at this event so lets get it going before it disappears. Your getting support from hobby shops like (racetech hobby) so far and maybe GH and pitstop will help out.come on guys lets get it going its not to late it's never to late.

Big chill, big chill, big chill, big chil, big chill, big chill, big chill, big chill...

Default A bit off topic

I know this is a bit off topic, sorry Frank, but it looks like there might be a few more 12th scales this year.

What's everyone's guess on what we are going to run the first week?

17.5 boosted
13.5
10.5
OPEN!!!

Thanks Greg G

watering down the classes with mod this, super stock that, is going to hurt the #'s for sure.

I'd rather run mod tc, but not if its gonna kill the stock class.

Is anyone even interested in CTA(canadian vta + touring gt) this year?

My mistake . I meant to say 10.5 .
I wanted to run the other 1/12th wcics class . Is it boosted or blinky 10.5 ?
