Most guys have their own. You can buy them at any online Hobbyshop or at PM. We use the AMB system. We also have club transponders to use. Talk to Kerry/Jim to use one. You just need to give them your car keys to make sure you return it. And of course you break it you buy it.

Thanks for the heads up on the transponders.
I will hopefully see them tonight if the weather cooperates....maybe it would be best to start shopping for one.
Cheers,
Lee

It was a dark and stormy night, no creatures were stirring not even a mouse, ooops wrong story. On this snowy night a hearty group of (or maybe crazy) racers made their way to the Carcar track for some hot racing. It was so treacherous even some racers needed marshalling in the parking lot.

Touring Stock B main:

This one was shaping up to be a slobber knocker, you could see the hunger in the racers’ eyes. Up front we had the local hot shoe Cracker Jack followed by Who Can, The Butterfly and Wheelz. On the tone we had a super smooth start with Cracker Jack finding the prize and bounced off into the lead. The real battle was with Who Can, The Butterfly and Wheelz. Wheelz found the speed he has been looking for, and thought he would try this fighting for top honours, and waved as he flew by Who Can and the Butterfly. This new found exuberance was short lived as The Butterfly was in full attack mode. He was driving like a man processed and floated by Wheelz like he was tied to a stump. Poor Wheelz was under serious attack from the next guy in line, Who Can. You could hear Who Can muttering, “I think I can I think I can”. This motto paid dividends as he went passed Wheelz to roar of the crowd, ok maybe that was the compressor. Wheelz decided to throw in the towel this night or that’s what he thought. The battle between Who Can and the Butterfly was heating up until Who Can spotted a box of Fruit Loops and promptly crashed out allowing Wheelz back into a glory position, third. The Butterfly was driving awesome, and would not be denied, taking home a well deserved and excellent second place finish. Up front Cracker Jack was throwing his car around like the season pro his is and brought home the bacon taking first place honours.

Results: Cameron "Cracker Jack", Dave "The Butterfly", Scott "Wheels", Ian "Who Can".

Touring stock A main:

With everyone's hair standing on ends from all the high voltage that only meant one thing, it was time for the A main stock cars to take to the track. All the fast guys were present and accounted for, even Cal. Up front we had the newly rebuilt car of Mr. DNF followed by the Scat Man, The Minnie King, The Mouth from the South and The Mechanic. We were unsure why the lights dimmed but some say it has to do with the rumours of Chargegate, all we knew was it was time to race. The start was clean with Minnie King and Scat Man challenging Mr. DNF. All things were going to plan until the Scat Man flushed his chances of glory away when he and Minnie King tangled both losing half a lap. This allowed the duo of The Mouth and The Mechanic through. Mr. DNF, with no pressure, was cranked off fast lap after fast lap building a good lead. The Mouth, spewing his verbal diarrhoea, and The Mechanic listening in horror, both decided to set their differences aside and set chase after Mr. DNF. The Minnie King and Scat Man quickly overhauled a poor old defenseless Mechanic and set after The Mouth who they quickly caught and passed. The Mouth crying foul got into Scat Man and drove off with no call from the RD. Scat Man put his head down and drove like he was possessed, quickly overhauling The Mouth, who was still muttering mumbo jumbo. Minnie King was closing slightly on Mr. DNF when he came to lap the Mouth, who was laps down, they bumped, and Minnie King paid the price allowing Scat Man through to take second place. Up front Mr. DNF was unchallenged waving to the crowd and took the win. We can only assume now that Mr. DNF will also be part of the Chargegate investigation and the charge police will be taking a look at him.

Results: Cal "Mr. DNF", Kerry "Scat Man", Walter "Minnie King", James "The Mouth from the South", Trevor " The Mechanic"

Touring Mod A main:

The last heat of the night was up, and we saved the best for last. The ultra fast mod cars were a buzz on the line with Speed taking pole position. Following Speed was the Professor, Maverick, Mr. DNF, One lap, and The Flash. On the tone the cars boosted away with Speed opening up a lead on the Professor. The Professor was hoping to lecture Speed and the rest of the class this night but alas Speed was having none of it. Mr. DNF caught Maverick, with his head in the cloud day dreaming about frolicking with butterflies, thus allowing Mr. DNF through and up to third. One Lap decided that looked so easy he would have a go. Maverick hit the brakes and One Lap flew right by and off the track into a different zip code. The Maverick embarrassed by this, put his head down and set off after Mr. DNF. Mr. DNF was driving smooth and consistent and then realized an important fact. The Fact was a charged battery is required to finish and Mr. DNF was out. This allowed Maverick to regain some confidence and bring the car home in third. The Flash was doing amazing and drove smooth and consistent with what many will argue is one of the fastest cars on the track. On this night however, the Flash was destined for fifth. One Lap never recovered and drove a ragged race to finish fourth. Back at the front the Professor was trying to explain why he gave Speed the grade he did, but never got close enough and had to settle for the second place prize. After requiring marshalling from being stuck in the parking lot, Speed brought home a well deserved win to cheers of the thousands in attendance.

Results: Tommy "Speed”, Jim "the Professor", Benny "Maverick", Blaine "One lap", Gordon "The Flash", Cal "Mr. DNF.

Thanks to all those who made the trek out. Remember to check out Gordon's excellent videos. We all owe Gordon a round of applause for supplying them week in and week out.

Why does the end of club racing mean we have to stop making fun of Ivan?
