My kids are asking if there is racing on Sunday as well....
Another great night of Friday club racing has come and gone, with the weather being a bit cool and snowy that didn’t dampen the racing it was smoken hot. The turnout was a bit lite, with some of our regulars missing. We can only assume that “One lap” and “Fabio” were sitting around a campfire singing kumbaya, eating smores and doing each others hair. Let’s get to the action.
B MAIN TOURING
First up we had B main touring. With this group of racers, we knew we were in a for a great show. Tim “Bulb” had the pole with “King Kwong” John, “Who Can Buchan” Ian, and “Flash Gordon” filling out the field. On the tone, we had a nice clean start, with all the racers settling into the rhythm. “Bulb” started to push, as he had the car to beat and knew it. Then the unthinkable happened, a slight error left him a poor marshalling spot. This allowed “king Kwong” and “Who Can Buchan” to fly by. “Bulb”, with his best gangster look on the stand, put forth a charge to take back his lead. “Who Can Buchan” tried to fend off “Bulb’s” advances but to no avail. “Bulb” then set his sights on “King Kwong” who felt the man in black coming for him and promptly parked it in no mans land. “Bulb” looked like he was going to take an easy win and then thought “I should try this no mans land like “King Kwong”. This error allowed “King Kwong” into the lead which he never relinquished. “Bulb” would have to settle for second with a few more errors, which gave “Who Can Buchan” the opportunity to catch him but time was not on his side and came home third. “Flash Gordon” finished fourth but his car looked a little off the pace which is not normal. If we know anything of the “Flash” he will be back next week with a great car that we normally see.
Results: “King Kwong”, “Tim Bulb”, “Who Can Buchan”, and “Flash Gordon”
A MAIN TOURING
Touring A main was up next. We had a very fast field of driver’s and Cal. We allowed old man “Turd Boy” Kerry to take the pole, “Mr. DNF” Cal, “Mini King” Walter, and “Young Gun” Bryce rounding out the field. On the tone, we had a smooth start considering the guys in the heat. “Turd Boy” built a bit of a lead with “Mr. DNF” and “Mini King” battling. As “Mr. DNF” and “Mini King” exited on the straight, “Mini King” Had a better line on exit allowing him to have more momentum and pass “Mr. DNF” on the straight. The two came together slightly but the “Mini King” was on the inside and was through. The whole while “Young Gun” was stalking and with the battle between the “Mr. DNF” and “Mini King” he was right on the “Mini King’s” Bumper. “Young Gun” was ready for a great battle and challenged the “Mini King” but a slight error put him back to which he settled in for third. We must watch this “Young Gun” he is becoming a force. “Mr. DNF” had a second body tuck which took him out of contention. “Tim Bulb” has offered his services to teach “Mr. DNF” how to trim a body correctly. All this battling, going on, it allowed the “Turd Boy” to do what he does best and flush the competition to take the win.
Results: “Turd Boy”, “Mini King”, “Young Gun”, and “Mr. DNF”
A MAIN TOURING MOD
The final heat of the night was touring mod. We had great field of fast drivers. “Speed” Tommy had the pole again this week (Lately he is on the pole more than a stripper) with “Setup Master” Jim, “Hobby Shop” Erwin, “A MAIN” Shane, and “The Competitive” Trevor rounding out the field. On the tone, we released the hounds. “Setup Master” and “Speed” were like a couple of gladiators battling hard. There was numerous taps and bumps and both spun. They were now going to have to work their magic from the back of the field. “Speed” lost a lap and had a lot of work to do, but accepted the challenge. With this going on “A Main” was able to get around “Hobby Shop”. “A Main” looked like a deer in the headlights but drove smooth and steady holding his line. “Hobby Shop” pressured “A Main” into a mistake and took his hand at leading, all the while “Setup Master” was coming. “Hobby Shop and “A Main” could hear “Setup Master’s” footsteps and the first to blink was “Hobby Shop” who decided he would test the wall. This mistake allowed “A Main” to take the lead, which he got scared and promptly stuffed it. “Setup Master” snickered and was in the lead with “Speed” all over him. He allowed “Speed” by knowing he was a lap ahead. “Speed” was running fast laps until one little tap damaged the car and he was out. The “Setup Master” cruised to the win. “Hobby Shop” put up a chase but had to settle for second. “The Competitive” was quiet the whole time waiting to make his move. His car was still in good shape and silently caught up to the “A Main” but simply ran out of time. What a great exciting race to watch.
Results: “Setup Master”, “Hobby Shop”, “A Main”, “The Competitive” and “Speed”

This lack of Mini on Fridays disturbs me. Gonna have to do something about that.

It sounds like we have 3 or 4 new guys that want to run mini this week.
If you have a mini, bring it and lets get a good heat or two going.
