Round 2 incoming!!

Notch will be there Saturday morning at 8 to prep the track on the same layout

Sunday will be the usual 10am start time, we are expecting some morning dew so you don’t have to rush it

TC classes are required to have event specific rush 36x’s from activrc along with the usual gravity tires for usgt/legends. Protoform is the only tire accepted for vta. 8.44v, current ROAR legal motors only

Thanks to everyone for making it out. Be sure to check the fog report for next time as well, hopefully we'll get an earlier start than 11am next time.

ActivRC got some great video of the event, I believe the videos are public. Check them out here https://www.facebook.com/ActivRC-1525885374401991/

and the results from today, Freedom Park Raceway :: Onroad Winter Series Round 2 :: LiveRC

still pretty early in the points to count anything for sure, 4 rounds to go!

Next week is our offroad series race 3 of 4, so that one is settling in nicely and could be decided in the next week

Need some suggestions here.

Need some help here. I am building a TC6.2 for USAGT class. Internal drive ratio is 2.0. I need some tips on a good FDR as a starting point. I am aware of watching the motor temps as you gear up.

Any suggestions are appreciated and Thanks to everyone for the help.

Depending on which modern 21.5 motor you plan on running, most of the newer motors like big spur gears. With your 2.0 internal I would go with a 96t in 64p and gear accordingly to arrive somewhere in the upper 3.5's to mid to upper 3.6's. So, 96t x 53t pinion would be 3.62. Decent starting point, and as you said, check temps. Other factor would be timing also. Hope this helps.

Hoping and praying all my Roadrunners rc friends are okay. Absolutely devastating scenes that I see on the news. The Scarbrough's prayers are with you all. I trust there are no races tomorrow with the smoke and 35mph wind conditions. Blessings to all.

Hey Chris, I have not heard that the on road racing program is canceled for Sun. Nov.11, but I did hear that the parking lot at Camarillo is being used as a staging area for the different fire departments. I did not see anything on the Roadrunners FB page either.

Can somebody confirm whether there will be racing on Sun. or not. Thank You.

There will be no racing this weekend.

Freedom Park has been chosen as a Cal Fire command center so we are closed until they move out.
