Yes, you can put any motor you want. I tested 17.5 on my M05, it runs great Hope it helps to bring mini racers back

I call it Super Mini 2WD.

Super Mini 2WD

ESC: No-Timing ESC
Motor: Open Motor
Battery: 2s Lipo
Body: Scale body Only, no racing body allowed.
Tires: Open Mini Tire
Chassis: Mini Fwd or Rwd chassis only. No conversion from 4WD to 2WD.
Wings: Only the wing comes with body kit allowed. Custom wings are not allowed
