Team Scream 17.5 is currently the best choice in 17.5. the only problem is to get your hands on one.

The latest generation motors that are the fastest are Motiv MC2's and Team Scream. Motiv's motors are still the same price (~104.99) as the 1st gen motors. Team Scream, if you can them, run around 140.00 and you have to be put on a wait list.

I would also look into Fantom Motors....They have been a proven leader and several of us at least in 1/12th use them here at the track... recently they did very well at the Snowbirds again. Fantom Racing Motors - High Performance R/C (radio controlled) electric racing motors and accessories

I have not heard anything. I still have mine, just need to put a battery in it but I am getting too old, lazy and slow to run three classes in one day. Maybe ask Tom Kahl or the Tomolosoff's (aka: The Russians) to see if they are going to bring their RM-01's out.
