Are they going to race on the little track? I don't see why not but figured it would just be a cool place to practice safetly for the buggies and stadium trucks and everyone would race on the big track?

They were still tearing down the rock crawling area a day ago so I'm sure its still a wrok in process.

By the way Brian, I see you live in SLO..... My wife has family up there so I'm up there quite a few times a year!

We have the rock wall area pretty much cleared out, my architect and engineer have submitted the ramp/stand plans to the city for approval and I will be building the track frame next week. Once that's done I will have the clay delivered (We will be using the same clay as the big track so no additional set up or tire changes should be necessary) and build the layout. My goal is to have the track completed by mid February. As for racing on that track, not sure yet... lets see how it goes:-) I believe it will be a great area for new drivers to get some laps in without feeling intimidated as well as just a cool track to play on while waiting for your race on those busy nights:-)

I want to thank all you guys for the positive comments about the facility and let you know that Nick and I will continue to listen to your comments and try to make improvements whenever the budget will allow!

The new chairs for the lower pit tables should be delivered sometime next week and Nick and his crew will be building the new layout on the 17th (big track)

I look forward to a great weekend of racing!!!!

Always trying new things. One of the best things about OCRC. Always working hard to keep the customers happy. You choice high or low tables, video games, new practice track (kind of like a warm up track for horses!
) New frest layouts. Consistant great traction on a smooth track with consistant jumps. Who could ask for more! thanks for all you consistant hard work guys!

New Chairs? recliners? sharper image massager chairs?

I think you should let denny crash his shaggin wagon into the pile of barstools out back and then let the rock crawler guys use that!

I've never seen or even heard of it (cuz I'm ignorant, not cuz it doesn't exist)
but dirt oval seems intriguing... maybe if size permits it could be oval with an infield. I keep daydreaming like some sort of r/c version of speedway racing.
side note: may be selling the crf this weekend so hopefully I'll be mobile within a week.

PS> looking for 2 or 3 REALLY cheap Supercross Tix for SAT if anyone has advice or extras!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah they could have dirt oval weekends at the mini track. Between rebuilds flatten it out and run some dirt oval? Not sure what kind of following you would get though. That seems to be a back east, mid west type thing. Other then a small pocket of oval guys around here it just does not seem to support it self well.

Back in the day, cough, I'd race dirt oval one nite and then change the shocks, tires and body (of course) then run offroad at the same track.
RCHR Costa Mesa.

Like BP said, oval with an infield of jumps etc.

Ascot Raceway mini sized.
Used to do that too, 500 Quadzilla, moto on their oval/sweeper into the infield for some moto bumps. Braaaaaaap.
