Was out at penrith last night racing in truck and had a blast ! The CMB is baristic Mae !! Did a crank mod and balance, down the back straight i had to putt the throttle as it was putting too much power to the ground, i completed the race with a 2 lap lead at 1/4 to half throttle.... on the last lap i opened her up 3/4 throttle on the back strait and it just launched ! I had a few friends come up after and ask where i hid the dry fuel rockets ! lol
which truck race were you in mm 1 or 2 and what body are you running would like to see your car go next week

a buggy is always going to be quicker around a track like PDNR than a truck. thats why the rules for truck are " TRUCK WHEELS and TRUCK BODY" that counts yours as a buggy. boasting about a 2 lap lead in a race car over a pickup doesnt really cut it. try again in a legal car and and there might be a few more that rate the win.

Actually the rules dont state anything about wheels , you can check with Tony Firth or Kevin Maton.., As far as they are concerned i can run buggy wheels, Now having said that having wheels half the width of truck tires i dont see as an advantage .. But to keep in the spirit of the class i will have some nice big truck wheels on for next tuesday ..

Hi champ

Just wondering on a price 4 gettin piston liner's crimped?

And my mate has a hyper .21cc 8 port motor & he's just
wondering what he could get done 2 it i told him just to get
a CMB motor ( plug 4 ya ) so he's thinking about it.

Seeya in 2 weeks or so should have 5 or 6 motors 4 ya
to mod.

HEy Griffo

Id go Oz Rocket for sleeve re sizing, i can re compress pistons for you but it dosent last very long ..

And the Hypers come up well whn modded but depending on your friends budget id go the CMB , A modded hyper engine still wont keep up with a stock CMB tho ...

Cheers

The rule has a typo in it and it should read with truck tyres, but in all fairness a truck comes standard with BIG WHEELS & a buggy comes standard with little wheels.

So one would assume that if you run a truck it would have the correct wheels on it.

Don't worry all, at the next committee meeting the rules for truck and buggy etc, we will have to make sure that every little detail is put in the rules for the classes just so there is no loop holes hopefully that can be exploited.

And the man has noticed his error and is going to make sure he has the right tyres next week, so all is well and lets have fun.

According to your interpretation of the rules, I didnt need truck wheels.

We need to stipulate fairly specific rules, I mean we are racing off road vehicles on road. so some lee way is needed as off road tyres just dont cut it, and there are plenty of on road truck tyres avalable as some guys use in truck class, I recall some truck drivers using foamies, these things are exactly like buggy wheels with just more meat on them.. Are these ok ? Now in all the other classes people can run whatever foam or rubber compound they want and i think this should be the case with truck too. As far as running buggy rims last tuesday i had no choice, i shredded a tyre on my truck rims , .. I mean seriously my Huggy looks like a bad double decker bus ! lol especially with buggy wheels on.. I have some really cool Chrome truck wheels and tyres ready for next week, and i completely agree that truck and truggy class should have some specific rules to keep within the spirit of truck racing , I hope this wont cause segregation in future as the new hybrid Truggy has a lot of peoples noses out of joint because of the obvious handling and weight advantage ... I think if we concentrate on what Kev said "So all is well and lets have fun" thats exactly what will happen..

Cheers
