Thanks to those who attended the SDMCC AGM tonight.
It was good to catch up with you all and to have a good open discussion about SDMCC and its general direction. Its great to see that people are very passionate about the racing and the clubs future.

I would also like to welcome the new members to the committee for the 2011 year.

BOM Forecast for Sunday:
Showers before sunrise temporarily easing to a shower or two in the morning. A few showers in the afternoon, mostly clearing from late afternoon. Cool with fresh and gusty southwesterly winds.

Despite a rather mediocre weather forecast for tomorrow, the Presentation And Fun Day will go ahead regardless.

The Presentation itself is scheduled for lunchtime. If the rain looks like being a problem, we will hold it under the new rostrum roof.

The race format for tomorrow is flexible enough to allow us to run some interesting stuff around any showers that might blow through, so don't be a scaredy-cat - come on down and play !

In accordance with a resolution passed at the AGM last Thursday, the annual membership fee for 2011 is now set at $75. For those who would like to get their membership renewals done and dusted early, I will be accepting renewals and new member subscriptions at the track tomorrow.

I'm not trying to be a smart-arse, but I don't understand what you mean by fence incorperation steps. The increase in membership fees are to cover the increased cost in running the club. We still have a small chunk of the rostrum upgrade left to pay for, and there are further capital upgrades planned in the mid-term. The increase was voted for unanimously at the AGM, and we're still around the mark with other major clubs in Australia. Race day fees stay the same.

fence around the track so wen the workers at the working bee do the work and it is not stuffed up buy bratts that dont race and for the ppl that have done the hard work cant enjoy it

I believe the track can't be fenced off to the public (council decree), but can put up a fence to make it easier to setup and pack up on race days for those that do it. we do heaps more damage on a race day then brats do in 6 months,
