ok guys heres the deal so far..

council removed concrete, and dumped our dirt... BUT my original bobcat driver sold his bcat earlier this week. I have a backup driver but he cant make it till around xmas.

A guy called Nick and his mates live close to the track and have a dingo digger. they resurfaced 3/4 of the track yesterday (to my surprise) and it needs to be rolled flat but i think its best to roll it when he can get time to finish the resurfacing, at the same time we build some more jumps and have the track widened around a few areas..

Hes done a real nice job so far too, and considering it was done with his spare time its quite impressive really.

After having a look at the track just now, i believe it will need a real good soaking and a rolling with a BIG roller before it will be any real use. The track is just covered with loose dirt now - making it very very slippery.

Your'e right bout the big roller Vortex. Mine is gonna be too small and instead of making a guesstimate I made a measurement of 400mm wide, and since the metal shroud has rusted away, will gather lumps of dirt and not do that great a job. Water filled ones can be over double that, but I am having trouble finding them. Mine will take make the job take longer than it should. How close is the nearest tap to the track? I couldn't see one. Mind need a looong hose to help wet it. Self-propelled vibrating rollers (some even spray water) cost aboot $120-$150 for a day which I am willing to pay for, (for screwing up with the roller), when it's required, just let me know when it's required in advance so I can get the day off, and to book it also.

Looks like we gotta lot of work to do before the next race meet.

Watering it all down would be good while packing it down/rolling it, but after that oiling may be the way to go, otherwise dust is gonna be a huge problem.

Now to do those proposed extensions

Hey Glen,

do you have a picture that shows the proposed extensions for the track when we get a bobcat in the future?

Is there specific times for practice or is the track open 24/7?

I'd love to race my savage even if I don't do all that well.

I have got a price of $110 for a ride on self watering roller with trailer. Hire saturday, return monday.
or $396 for roller AND bobcat but bobcat needs a trailer and the cats are booked till xmas , however my mate will try out source one for us if needed.
He also has a bcat owner next door and will speak to him about the job. Hopefully driver/owner #3 will be the go.. they say third time lucky right?

Q #2) who could/would be able to do a weekday b/bee at the track primarily to get the modifications, resurfacing and rolling done?
everyone wants rental on weekends and it may be easier to get the cat work done during the week and if so, we might aswell do the rolling then.

Unlikely I can make it on a weekday, but closer to Christmas I may be able to.
