My mate is getting the bug for racing at Knox with his SC10 & will be trekking to Keilor as well.

He doesn't want the hassle of having to take the transponder off his car after his race to have to rush out to marshal.

I have an AMBrc DP personal from my racing days & I was going to lend it to him till he got his own as I'm not financial enough to race anything atm.

Speaking from a Keilor perspective , we have numerous people at club days running club transponders and we don't have a drama with removing them after a race prior to marshalling........

Cheers

I'm hoping somebody can help me out. If anybody has excess or spare new stadium truck tyres they can spare I would greatly appreciate it. Probably losi king pin, holeshots and some suitable fronts would be great. Trying to get my new 22t up and running for Knox cup.
Cheers, Brett.

Brett,

Can't help you with rims (I don't run Losi anymore), but I have 2 pairs of new M3 Holeshots you can use. I don't have any fronts.

Cheers

Chris

Hi All,

Just letting people know I'll be at the Knox Cup with a whole lot of old racing grear (from 2001-2007) that ill be throwing away or selling for next to nothing.

Key Items include:
BJ4WE (raced in 05 worlds, 06 nats, plus a few clubbies)
LRP Speedys
LRP sphere speedy gen 1 brushless
KO receivers and crystals
Reedy modified brushed motors
Spektrum system for KO radios (Mars and Helios)
Transmitter (KO Mars)
Heaps of old parts
Batteries (nimh)
and more

After a 6 year break, im getting back into it and just want to clear the shelves of all my old equipment.

See you all in a week.

Yeh they wear really well and seem to have fantastic grip but it's all I've used so I don't really have a comparison except for DDs and they don't last on our tracks in our weather. I think The Doctor from Keilor recommended them to me amongst others saying they are even better than the V1s. Hopefully some of the more experienced guys will comment.

Waiting for cool weather to try the holeshots.

I would not piss on holeshots if they caught on fire, even in the cold damp conditions where they 'suppose' to shine

For the reserved, intelligent person I perceived you to be, you don't mince words when typing... I like it!

Gawd, we don't have much tyre choice that's for sure. Let me correct that, we have plenty of choices but not much that work.

I have noticed the holeshots on the front of my 4WD are close to useless but was putting it down to the vehicle. Problem was, I have been improving a lot lately at setup/driving etc and was starting to wonder.

Would you just stick to the X2000s all year round? What about at Keilor? I think they hit the holeshots pretty hard in cooler conditions. What did you find wrong with them? Constructive stuff would help everybody so, share your knowledge...

Ant

P.S. Wow, the "c" word!!! Didn't notice that first time. So you don't like Associated.....
