eichkay; unfortunately to come under local safety regulations, neighbours privacy, cost and all that council jargon it had to be replaced new for old.

Just seems odd to rebuild a stand that low
Well, if you don't like it, stay home. Simple really. If fact, I encourage it!

I do, though they may not comply with ISO/IEC 10918-1.......

The view from the stand is fine.

When the draft AARCMCC regulations were circulated last year, the 2.4m high stand was an issue raised by several people. For large 1/8 scale tracks I think it is fine; for 1/10 tracks it seems excessive and most clubs I know of would not comply! The rules also call for the stand to be 2m away from the track, with overhead protection from the weather. Unless you are running a nats, I cant see anyone changing their stand to comply with these regs.

West Coast is in the fortunate position of being on private land. With the Knox track on public council property, the red tape is an order of magnitude more difficult....

The club has been through real cr@p for the past 12 months just to get a stand, so for Melbournites its great news to see it back up and running!

Maybe we could just dig and lower the track by 1.2m, but then we might strike Texas Tea and that could mean more red tape!

The ''MCLTVP" (MiCK Campion Level Ten Viewing Platform) looking good folks and a great job buy all involved and in keeping the track in tip top shape whilst no stand.

Needs to be painted in Micko's livery as a tribute
