Ok sounds like a plan, if the weather holds out I'll make an appearance at the next meet and get some idea of what to get if I'm going to go down the racing path.

I'm kind of confused why everyone chooses the buggies though, are they that grippy compared to other vehicles? I would have thought since the buggies have such small shocks that they would bottom out constantly and not have that 'range' to soak up the bumps. - Shows you how much I know.

So getting the revo lowered to sit somewhat at the same height as the buggies wouldn't eliminate the roll overs and give it closeish times to other cars?

Lol I guess I'm just not used to the fact that I'll be going for a normal sized car, I either get a huge rc (savage) or a tiny one (micro rs4).

Oh well we'll see, might just get the revo for a bit of a fun car without breaking out the noise of a nitro.

Cheers for the replies

That is by far the best thing to do - you will be VERY surprised to see why every has buggies.

Grip comes down to setup, same with shocks - they do not just bottom out tho - if they do you don't have the setup right.

You can adjust so much with the buggies & they are design for racing on these kind of tracks & doing the jumps they do.

hell no. NO where near it. 28 seconds aint bad but that revo wont even get close.

This is by far the best thing about brushless lipo setup's - they leave nitro for dead in terms of out right torque & speed as well now

Alan....it's not important anymore......don't need new , old or indifferent anything at the moment...........because when you don't run you don't wear anything out

Cheers

I went and checked last nite and it was great, the bit by bit work is paying off with very little standing water.
