depending on what car you get but i know for the B4 the front tire to have is the Pro-line 8175

Oh and if you look at the link below this is how i see the new revamped knx

Well I have always wanted to try offroad, but never really taken the punt. I am getting a little board of onroad and have been for a few years so I will try offroad and see if I can bring back the enjoyment a little.

How about you F Alonso?

I'm certainly not bored with onroad. Onroad is great, but I've always had an interest in offroad too. Would be so much fun to do it I reckon, as well as being more driver orientated rather then car setup/equipment.

Front tires can really affect the feel of the car.
As andrew said, 8175 work well on the B4.

A few Guys have been using Panther front tires on there Losi's. Its like a taper pin clone.
Losi 2 Ribs seem to be popular as well. Silver or red depending on track conditions.

Hope this helps Guys!!

For 2wd, the B4 is a great car which i highly recommend, but both the losi and the AE are excellent cars to start with. If you run into trouble with either, people are friendly and willing to help down at knox, just ask.

Make sure you start off in at least stock, the biggest mistake most on roaders make going to off road is going straight for modified. Its much more technical driving wise than on road, so you gotta get a feel for it first.

BG- as the fuhrer stated....... but no spools!

Losi it's all spool. Go the 2wd

Cheers

This is my experience/opinion on tires Losi 2 rib silvers work fine on XXX/Bk1, Have seen them used on AE buggies also, On the other hand with the BK2 2 rib silvers did not work me, Were not using the Panther taper pin clones These are a Losi 2wd taper pin front tire 7207s 7207r, have used them on/off for a while now, they are working extremely well now with Oldskool's BKs 2 setup

Its great to see this thread getting some action. I'm extremely keen to check out the racing and I think that after Christmas, I may very well be joining you. I currently have 2 TRF415s at the moment and after the Peter Stevens Masters, I will sell my 2nd one that a mate is using at the event. That should make it so that I can get an AE B4!!

I think you'll find a lot more people starting to have a look at the dirt again. The manufacturers are putting BIG dollars into it again for the first time in years (i.e Tamiya and Kyosho) and in the end they tend to drive the market in the direction that they want.
Plus, I think its a cyclical thing. Off-Road was HUGE for 15 years, then On-Road was the new thing, now the wheel is turning back again with most of the current on-road drivers who have never driven a buggy in anger quite keen to have a try.

Andrew,

Watch out for what?
You'd better bring a boat by the looks of the current weather
