I tired brushless and its stinks like Antony after some Mcdonalds in a GT40 with no air vents. ....so I am going back to brushed stock

if I remember correctly, 23 is the starting ratio for the b4 with the standard spur and the T4 is 19? and the zx5 is 21? someone correct me please, it's like a distant memory that I can't quite recall!!!

Smoke A, with the B4 I used 24-25/81 with something like a P2K2 or 22-24 for something like a CO27. I don't know how tight or open the Knox track is mate but work in those ratios should be ok. Sorry don't know about the ZX5.

What did you do to the brushless to cook it? Was it 17.5?

I wouldn't say it was cooked...only really warm. the ratio was 69 spur with 37pinion, the problem lies in the spur gear I think, I used a kimbrough spur with the traxxas butt plugs..the little red things that look like tiny eraser ends..

Did you reduce the diameter of the slipper plates Will?

Make sure you use bearings in your brushed stock motor.

Then I think you'd be safe to start at 9.5 in a buggy.

Good luck, and keep an eye on the motor temp while you play!!

Will,

After seeing the mess from "Plasto Mesh" on your T4, playing with toy cars is best left to the professionals.

Will, my advice to you is, if you fail first time gear up 2 teeth and have a fire extinguisher handy

Default B4, Lipo's, Holeshot's and 13.5

What's the chance of running a superstock class or beginners mod 2wd?

there's nothing stopping you from running a 13.5 in modified.

Most of the mod guys will be in Wodonga this weekend, might be a good day for you to have a run in modified without to much pressure from the faster guys...

As long as you are courteous towards the faster guys, no ones going to mind you running in mod. If you want to run superstock, run in mod against other 13.5's Your then racing each other, regardless of who-else is on the track. It happens from time to time in truck that everyon'e in together and sometimes the results are surprising in that a stock will place pretty well.

I tend to be a mobile speed bump in mod, so I know what it's like......

Truck is reserved for people who have heaps of spares and don't know what the rules are. ie, running across the grass towards the field is totally acceptable and legal, so are le man's starting positions and don't forget there are no winners in stock truck, only bruisers
