Hey Will, the combo of rain then sun with a little wind to help get the track dry was more than we could have asked for.

I think we'll have to keep chipping away at the track surface and in no time it will be "Mecha-Streisand" deluxe!!

What the hell is a pig in a blanket, though??

Pig in a blanket?

Numan loves to eat pig, just ask him.

The four horsepower of the apocalypse.......It certainly will bring doom to this earth, if we believe the likes of Al Gore....Two cycle engine!!!!! The climate has changed in a nominal adverse way just by firing up that bad boy!

I move we pencil in another working bee next off weekend. The plan is in place for further redevelopment, we just need excavator and more dirt to make it happen.

Will,

The trippple was my idea, too many union workers standing around bitching about work choices, I had to get them productive.....

I'm still amazed by the fact we had more hands on deck for a working bee than at a Keilor clubby. Keilor is an awesome track, we need to get it pumping!

4WD stock if there are sufficient numbers.

Will make the decision on the day.

Geez Fuhrer - I'm still getting over the last working bee!! Can't we wait at least a little longer? Although now that I am typing this I am wondering if what you mean by 'off weekend'. Does this mean the next month we have 5 sundays? If so then Josh and I will be in again.

Signed - Your humble union worker.

Hi guys, i am looking at getting my son into RC racing (i run 1/8th buggy) and am keen on the ZX5. Have looked at prices and want to know if the RTR is a worthy car or should i go the kit option. Are they a good car, i am hoping a
4wd car with a 540 silver can motor would be the easiest combination to learn on. Are tyres and rims interchangable with other makes. Any help would be appreciated.

Hyper 8
2wd would be a better starting platform but there is no reason to go a 4wd. There is 3 common brands to go for in 2wd and about 5 in 4wd,but the best thing is to come down to the club and chatt with the other drivers and make a choice from there.General speaking...beginners start off in a 2wd 540 class but any one can race in this , but it is a good place to start in .

Will or Bob would be your contact for information on the zx5.

Yoshidad./Yoshicar....thanks for your help on Sunday too.

I'll either be running 2wd stock or 2wd mod with the awesome EXPRESS 19t.
Not sure yet, I'm hanging to hit the tripples with the truck and a 12x2. That bad boy will be out for a battery of 2..

I'll run 4wd stock or mod. Either one but we need a definite so I can change ratios, its not a 5 minute job on a 501x

Default Invitation to Castlemaine

We will be racing off-road at Castlemaine on October 14th and everyone is cordially invited to come up and join in the fun.

A while ago, someone mentioned that it would be great to run an ORRCA round at Castlemaine. So far we have not had any electric off roaders turn up to race. How's about it guys? Why not all come up on the 14th and try out the track for yourselves? Then if you want it, we can discuss hosting a round for you.

Classes? You bring 'em and there will be an appropriate class for you. Give all your mates a call and we can get it all happening.

We have computer timing and you will need to be able to fit one of the clubs transponders to your car for timing purposes. Sorry, we don't support personals as yet. Soon, maybe.

There has also been talk of resurrecting the Castlemaine Classic Electric Race Meet. Are you all keen to get this going again? This track was built by Rob and Tim McClure and they are keen to see it happen.

At the recent State titles for MT & Truggy, the racers were very impressed with the track and the way it came up to blue groove and the lack of tyre wear on the clay surface. Some also noted that it would be a great electric track.

Naturally, we will still be racing nitro on the 14th, 1/8th buggy, Monster truck and Truggy. Got 1/10th Nitro? Bring them too.

You read my post at 12.14pm and posted your reply at 12.13pm. Must be some sort of time warp you've got going there. Hmmm. Unless you read my post before I wrote it.. ?????? Psychic???

The invitation is open for anytime anyone would like to venture up anyway.

Mate if you want to run 4wd stock you have to engage the battle strangely I think the homobodies needs a good run before the Coleman so the KY diff lube that he uses can work it self out. As for the 501X of Ants well anyone in their right mind would rather race that than the Dura-sled, the Blow Job 4 Wankers Edition of the Fuhrer well that thing was almost designed by Hitler himself, its a car that dominates and is very agressive.... It seems I've engaged the battle for you, gee its easy to do when you dont own a 4wd atm.
