Interesting race night. Very low numbers due to a variety of factors I suppose, some of the electric boys are in Melb for the Vic Titles follow their progress on rctech events there is a Facebook link to the result sheets, the double event atBrendale no doubt cost us a few and of course the weather. The V8s and F1 qualifying almost kept me away too.
Anyway was a good night to try some things, the track was good, plenty of grip, the hamburgers were as sensational as ever and the company was good.
Shame about the vandals, a problem at every Rc facitity, that's life I suppose.

I honestly went to the track in the morning thinking that water would be everywhere. No it was dry as a bone. as the mid afternoon approached the usual early starters weren't there. Race night was short and sweet. Low numbers across the board which suited new comer Michael Raferty in 21.5, who has made the leap from occasional hack racing with his mates to, fully fledged club racing. Last night got him in hook line and sinker. Once the adrenalin settled down he notched up some pretty respectable lap times. Racing in the same heat as Dave Guyatt (heavy) showed him that his car was quick enough in a straight line but Daves years of experience and better driving lines were something to aim for. With a little bit of setup advice and expert help from Ed Clark. Michael assures me he had a great first night. Gas saw Cooper power out in front again and Old time campaigner Neal Stonely finds himself running second in the points series for being consistent and finishing another round in tact.
Dont forget, next weekend is The first round of the interclub series hosted at Logan next weekend. every driver earns points for the club. Lets see if we can keep it out of Logans hands for another year.
Cheers Brendan

As far as I know it was only the 17.5 d3.5 that was banned. There was never a question about the 13.5.

it's not all 13.5 motors, just the Trinity D3.5. 13.5 is still a valid class, just that particular motor doesn't (it appears, as there has been no confirmation from ROAR) meet the legal specifications for that motor type.
Plenty of other very fast motors out there.... HW V10, ORCA, ThunderPower, Reedy, MuchMore etc etc
