1984, those were the days. Second year of my apprenticeship, and got my first RC cars, Associated RC12E and a Tamiya Brat. Speed control were just a resitor block, electronic speedies had only just been released, and, in relation to speedies of today, were expensive. As pricey as the complete car.

Thanks for all the tips guys. I think I'll just run 17.5 boosted as the D3.5 I have is no longer approved and my 65c packs have the punch . I don't think i can bring myself to buy another losi so I've got my eye on the B4.2 but I don't see a lot of regulars with this in their Sig. The Kyosho also looks killer. Spendy though. If I procrastinate long enough I can stay with serpent and their new buggy http://serpent.com/news/13637/Scoop:...road-cars.html

AG pipe pegs
hello all i have 54 12mm pegs for holding the AG pipe in place.. was thinking of welding a flat washer to the top but as i don't have the washers or the shed set up to ARC weld in... i was thinking of heating the top and bending it over at a 90 deg angle.. what is every ones idea or opinions.... or is anyone else willing to supply and weld washers in place???

My seconded car was a Super Champ, great car the free floating suspension was sweet although the car was a little heavy with all the steel parts.

Hobby Habit have an indoor on-road track if you feel like cutting some practice laps.

Had a look at pics of the Serpent tonight and certainly looks like an interesting ride.
All I've seen previously were the auto-cad images.

Seeing they're 12mm dia, could have the potential to cause damage.
Washers wouldn't protrude above the pipe as much, and cars would be more likely to skim over the top without getting caught I imagine.
Should have it soon though.
I'm holding Kals' shock oil to ransom.
