Never ended up getting to the track today, but did buy some stuff and clean up the tool box. Jess also has a slash now to run in the novice class. Fitted up a HW 9T that is a bit quick so turned the travel on the controller back to 40%. See how she goes with that.

What did you buy the slash?

No.

You could say she has been given the drive by the cars owner and I have been given the wrenching job. All we needed to do was put a battery in it and off it went. With all of the raw grunt that the standard 12t brushed produced the team principle decided the HW 9T brushless setup he had laying around would be better.

It also came with a full range of Spares, Tyres and a brand new custom painted Proline boby that will sit in storage until she gets a handle on it.

You could probably say she is already a sponsored driver.

Haha, the perks of being female! My missus had been racing for all of about two meetings before being handed a hobby shop sponsorship, and a direct account sponsorship with a motor and battery supplier..

..I raced for almost two years before getting my first sponsor

Give her 3 months and she will be factory sponsored!

Kids learn so much faster too!

Good to see the club getting multiple family's involved in racing. Can't wait to get back over there, such a good atmosphere.

Headed down for a run yesterday (been so long since I've wheeled a car). Pretty happy with the RB5, then broke a front shock tower on the ZX5 (with no spare on hand). Didn't get to run the SC10, but have built the new shocks for it this morning, hopefully I'll be able to make it to a club day in 3 weeks

Went to the track for a run today only to find 3 large puddles on the track that were right across the track. Good thing was the lake in the bottom corner was no where to be seen.

I did run Jess's new slash for a few laps squeezing past the puddles.

There are a few areas that if we add some clay when we get it the whole track will self drain.

Indeed, sadly this week is going to be a wash out, so hard to do effective track repairs. I believe we are able to do that however. I'm sure Adam and James are planning that ASAP.

Minutes for financial members went out last week, PM me if you have not received them and you believe you should have.

Signups are open for this Sat 18th club day.

Here

Form is a bit different this time, see how you like it.

We are going to try to stick to the 10am start time as much as possible. So if you have not registered (and paid) by 10am, you will have to wait until the each round is finished. I suggest rocking up at 9am.

Signups will be finalized Thusday night at 8pm and classes posted that night.

Yeah work is to be done but with being sick and mothers day it just didn't happen over the weekend..! Hopefully this week and then next weekend (in between meets) We will be getting clay brought in to repair that corner and touch a few things up, so the track will be closed and all help would be appreciated as always..!!
