nitro
hats off to all the nitro guys, it was quite incredible to watch the final. I don't understand how can you be consistently so fast for half an hour, I've got problem keeping my attention for 5 minutes and my car is 10 times slower

A huge thanks to everyone who raced today. As you all know, all race fees today will be donated to Cancer Council NSW and we will be taking donations on Tuesday night. Once we get the final figure, i will let you al know. It should be in the vincinity of $600 which is awesome.
Congratulations to Craig McPhee for a well deserved win and well done to Cam & Steve for taking the other two podium spots (a Mugen white wash )
To Amy, a huge thankyou for the wonderful job at race control. . and all of the guys who marshalled the nitro final.
On a personal note, thankyou AJ (el Presidente) for pitting for me and putting up with my broken car. It ended up being a frustrating start and eventually the car was sorted out an really good to drive in the third heat (qualified 5th). Come the final, I was feeling good until after about lap 10 when the issues started. After a few flame outs, it was discovered that the clutch bearings and thrust bearings had let go. Once that issue was repaired, the flame outs started again after about another ten laps. To cut a very long story short, my motor is stuffed
Time to break out the "Ninja" for racing in a fortnight.

Thanks to everyone who organised today, and to all involved. A special thanks also goes out to my pit man Dave Thompson - the new TZ was running pretty rich and without a careful eye today could have ended very differently. I would also like to say that I am absolutely STOKED to take out the cup, the MTX4R was hooked up all day and that made it all too easy to drive in the final - I was at about 8/10ths for most of the time and still managed good lap times while saving my tyres and not using too much fuel... Daniele Ielasi thanks for the tactics
