Hope to see you soon
We race every tuesday night, racing starts at 7.15-7.30 gates open around 4.30pm.

We dont usually race on weekends, however the club has been running a "VTA, Novice and mini Fun Day" for the last few months. the next one is on Sunday the 25th of november gates open at 10am racing to start around 11AM.

sounds like this is right up your alley seeing as though you and your daughter are new to onroad. There will be plenty of guys willing to help out and since its promoted as a fun day you need not worry about being a mobile chicane as all the faster cars arent allowed to race.

Its the perfect chance to get to run around a great facility and
not have to worry about anything..

Cheers
David

Hope everyone goes well and everyone enjoys themselves.

P.S
appears that Steve has some competition on the mic, with Kebabs $3.99/minute voice and now Nathan on the mic

I snuck up at the last minute and am having a lot of fun. Nice big track with lots of temptation to push too hard, so discipline brings rewards.

Today started really nicely and all was looking good until rain set in after the first heat. Didn't finish my second qualifier until after 5pm

Hit an air-launching dot in the first heat and ended up under a rope, next to the only marshalling spot not occupied . My own silly fault and cost me quite a few places. On the upside, in the second heat I posted a result in the top 10, finishing a few seconds behind Keefy, so I think I can retire happy now

Unfortunately, nasty lightning storms brought an early end to the day, but here's some pictures, including the absolutely delightful Indian I had last night

Hi Guys
Freezing my nuts off in old blighty, missing the Aussie sun,(and SMA of course)
question for the knowledgable,
I'm thinking of buying a new tourer, I don't want/can't spend TRF 417 money,
was looking at either the Sukura xi, TC6.1, ARC R10, T.O.P. Racing Photon EX.
what do you reckon,
special "hello" to the 21.5 racers, plus what's the motor of choice#?

Hey Steve

Weather in Sydney is good suns out actually got a little sunburnt over the weekend.

Cant say the same for all the SMA boys who went to QLD for the NATS, they got alot of rain over the weekend.

As for motor the Reedy 21.5 seems to be teh best

what about the SpecR tourer, that looks like to be a good low cost car over the sakura or others you have mentioned.

The TRF 417V5 looks dam nice thou

enjoy the snow

Hi Chris
Teah the specR looks good, not sure whether to buy new or overhaul my 416WE
may think about a cheap specR, the $120 one for the UK, if I refurbish the TRF
enjoy the summer

We should keep track of all the layouts and possibly look to putting them on the website.
