Ha yeah Paddy! The big track is the grand plan. Just redo the track there for now for sure. I would love to get some dirt or clay without gravel in it though. How did you find tyre wear?

Honestly i only ran 2 packs in my B44, i didn't really look at the tyres (proline calibers)... But i would think tyre wear would be high... Price you pay for traction!

I didn't find there was heaps of traction for the amount of wear though. Certainly nothing on latrobe. I ran 2 packs and had worn about 1/3 of my JC Subculturs away.

I think the keep it simple idea is best to start with, It would be great to get some off road action happening. 26th sounds good to me, I may be able to bring my lap top along for some manual lap timing if thats what we want to go with for now, I dont mind, Just have to keep dirty fingers off it

one other thought to throw in the mix....instead of starting and establishing a whole new club, it might be worth having a sit down meeting with the guys from STMCC that run the on-road club.

It could be possible to run the offroad racing as a "division" of the STMCC. Reasonably simple to keep the money seperate either by establishing a seperate bank account, or just a line in the accounts....and saves going through all the work of incorporation etc.

It would definitely be worth thinking about, to see if there are benefits for both groups or not.

Yeah, I reckon having it a part of the STMCC would be a good idea aswell.

Is there a point or advantage to making a separate club for a track on the same grounds?

I've PM'd Lee inviting the STMCC committee. One massive advantage is access to a decoder... Rob I've got alycat 9.1 lite on my laptop and will bring that along as well. What time do we want to start? 10am?

I would come for a bash but:

1. My Slash is in half
2. I will be in Bendigo for the Classic

Will be there for the meeting though.

Went for a run at the track today and found that kit tyres really don't work well. I put JConcept Subcultures on and they gave great grip, though wear isn't great...

Bring a broom along next week if you have one so we can brush the dust off the track and hopefully get a bit more grip.
