Mossie, azenis

the standard spur and pinion that come with the TA04 (0.6 module) is larger than 48P. 0.4 module is the same as 64P, which you can get as an option for the TA04.

hope this helps

Thanks for clearing that up

I now have a hobby shop telling me that the 48p spurs only come in ODD tooth numbers eg 71, 73,75, 77
and evens arent available so no 72, 74, 76, 78 etc

is this true?

as i need a 70 a 72 and an 84

Yes I think so. Good avice is hard to come by. Try www.towerhobbies.com and do a search for spur gears. after you have spent 4 hours looking at all the even number spur gears give them a call.

You will find that every car is different so don't just copy that if you have had no issues yet. But at least Venom is sorting his out and hopefully will see no more DNF's.

BTW 40 shore all round for northside.

Can anyone tell me where I can order Jet and Square parts from?

Oh Coxy I just picked up some foams, 35 shore front and 32 shore rear, they are GQ brand mounted on bright orange BBS style rims, will be interesting to see how they go... were what the guy at the lhs recommended for our tracks...

good luck with the foams, regarding parts try harmony hobbies or niki. the links for them are on my website under "links"

www.rcunderground.net

also i tryed CRC dry glide with teflon for the gears. works very well. dries sort of like a very very very thin coat of wax. available at bunnings.

i'll review it soon but this saturday will be my 4th race meet using microlon as the ONLY lubricant for the bearings. so far no ceazed bearings after 4 long race meets....YES NO OIL! JUST MICROLON!

only treated bearings on wheelhubs diff and tranny bearings left standard just as a comparison.

yeah make sure the tranny spins smooth and doesn't feel notchy. with the above setup it felt just the slightest bit notchy but i decided to give it a go.

regarding foams, well ment, but i have made fun of them in the past ehehe.

No Venom just doesn't like these Orange foams for some reason LOL.

Azenis you will find some very interesting settings on the Plow 4 you are getting but give it a go as is and then if it does not work out first day out go back and put the box set-up back on will work damn fine to start with on Rubber or foam.
