The standard wheels which come in the kit measure 24mm wide.

Yes, i did see the HPI Mini.
Looks like a nice little machine!
I believe that it is a front wheel drive.
Would be great to have another manufacturer make the datto shells!
Should make it easier to get hold of them!
I would really like to see an Escort Mk1 or 2 body produced too!
Would be an awesome mini body arsenal with the 2 dattos and esky!

After seeing that RCMart put these on sale for $130, I couldn't resist and picked one up, I can't wait to drive it... and might even consider making a custom 225mm wheelbase chassis and upper deck for it too:

Is anyone else still running these cars?

Some of us are trying to start up an M12 Class locally.

These used to be quite popular around Sydney. From memory I think the Xpress importer was here. I haven't seen one in a long time though. I'm very surprised they're still being sold. They were a decent car, not quite as neat as the HPI Mini RS4 that was their main competition though.

Big weakness is the quality Bill.
Hits that most cars will take easily seem to decimate Xpress parts. We only tried one at rc-mini and it got off-loaded very quickly indeed due to its fragility.

I believe they've changed a lot on the quality of the car since the last release. I've loaned it out to several other racers to test drive and the car has proven to be fairly durable. After seeing relatively hard hits on the walls, there were no broken parts, however the ball links on the front tend to pop off instead which is a nice... pretty much carbon copy of how the links pop off on the Awesomatix. My only complaint is the need to apply thread lock throughout the car, I would just assume build it as a kit than to have to rebuild it all over again.
