If you stop guys running two classes, you will turn away those that only race 1/12 and be left with stock and maybe a couple of Mod.

The result is the same. Mod will have plenty of Marshalls, Stock not enough.
Same problem, albeit with less racers and less income for the club.

Happy to be proven wrong.

Others will be running the meets after today. Up to them to do what's best.

David, they're running the AARCMCC rules, except 6 minute races instead of 8 minutes I believe. Motors around 3.5t to 5.5t should work. Open ESC. 1S battery.

Cheers,
Scott

What a great proper start to the 2017 racing year that was on Saturday.

The old fella Ray Griffiths showing youngster Liam how its done to win tc2, in a competitive 10 car field. There might have been more racing stock too, if it wasn't for so many guys running tc1 tonight.
I think it would be a number of years since any onroad club in Brisbane had 14 entries racing modified at a club meeting. I'm sure we won't see that many every meeting, but it does suggest a renewed interest in modified for this year. tc1 long track seemed to work well (even if I did break the brokomo with a big crash exiting the back straight!) Peter Beckett winning two of the A finals from 4th on the grid was impressive to take the overall win. I think Terry Norman driving the counterfeit yokomo may have got the win in the B finals. Not as good as the real thing eh Terry?
Just the 4 12th scale cars tonight, Richard Chun the fastest of the field.
Look forward to seeing a heat of pro10 at the next clubbie too.

I hope everyone had as much fun as I did. Can't wait to race mod again in two weeks time.

Weekend Saturday EP Roundup.

See Keith's post above. Thanks Keith.

Certainly was a Fantastic turnout for the first EP meet of the year.

14x TC1 Mod (split into two heats).
10x TC2 Stock
4x 1/12

We were very lucky with the weather, considering the forecast was for 70% chance of rain.
It did rain delaying the start of the finals (along with a computer glitch), but that was beetles, attracted to the lights and then decided they were feed up with life and just 'rolled over and pulled through'. It sounded like drops of hail on the roof.
Blowers sorted the track out and we were away again for the Finals.

3x Quals and 3x Finals for all classes, even with the delays we were finished around 9:30pm

Remember all race results are automatically uploaded to our MyRCM account so you can go back and check results from previous meets.

As per the QRCCRA Calendar, (Check our website), the next EP Saturday is the 11 Feb 2017.
Be there 3pm
Noms from 3:15
Racing Starts 4pm

Welcome back Leon Freny back to 1/5th scale as a club member it has been 4 years I think . We have had 4 returning club member so far good to see .

On another note we will need 3 or 4 people to mow the lawn every 2 weeks just before a meet Wed or Thurs if we get 4 and do it on a roster that means you will only need to mow 6 time in the year . The people that have been doing this can not do it anymore so please think about this . Also we will be needing people to learn and run the race control and be the race director so please consider this not all the time just sometimes .I thank You ALL for putting up with me

Thank You Paul Dutton Treasurer

Hear hear Trevor...

Would love to see good number in Gas Tourers this Friday and some old faces return who haven't had a run in the class for awhile to join in the Friday night fun.
